A lot of Wendi's takes are just regurgitated from what other people say about the game. If he did these videos in a bubble with no outside influence he might actually have some odd or interesting takes.

Not entirely. This video is pretty rife with editing mistakes and flubs and even a moment where Wendis voice isn't meant to be filtered but is.

It's funny now when he has an actual editor who's not just his wife, the quality has gone down.
 
Haven’t started watching yet but just the thumbnail and title make me think this will be an SCP 6448 ripoff, let’s see how right I am

EDIT: less than a minute in and Hunter asks Wendi a hypothetical that includes a naked morbidly obese man standing over you while you sleep

I thought for a second that Wendi was doing a bit - that at some point it would turn out that the "repeats" were just memories from an alternative timeline or something. and that Wendi was recreating the disorientation of being trapped in a hivemind with several sets of memorized experiences. That might have actually been interesting. But no. It's just some editordrone not doing his/her job.

Rhett believed the "Nice" Christianity where Jesus is your buddy and a neat guy, he gave it up because his view of it was weak and malformed.
Isaiah is a soft boy for sure, but if the Rapturetok video was Ernest (and it was as far as I can tell) then his faith is more passionate and legitimate than Rhett's

It is a shame that Wendi isn't a big table top guy. I can picture him getting super into Trench Crusade lore. A grimdark war between heaven and hell fought with ww1 gear and tactics seems right up his alley and would make for a far more interesting video on done to death horror video games.
 
I haven’t watched the video yet. Call me a pussy but the title “My Dad Ate Meat From A Deer That Walked On Two Legs” made my stomach recoil. I’m disappointed in myself but I hope the video is good. I still like Isaiah, but Hunter is just getting annoying in these videos, he’s such a killjoy.

Hunter is more try hard to me, like he has to be the funny guy constantly or his career dies. I do like a lot of his jokes but when he gose all "isn't it funny when I, a fat retard act like a baby?" It's really bad.
Not a fan of his singing bit either because hunter can't sing.
Sometimes his "bro wouldn't it be funny if" scenarios are funny but not always.

The ep is good and the story is solid.
 
Hunter seems burnt the fuck out. Can't blame the guy either. So many of these stories are just fucking awful, and the ones that aren't really don't do anything different. They're just more competently written despite relying on basically all of the same tropes and story beats. And considering he was never too into this kinda shit before the podcast, I can see doing this stuff multiple times a week getting really fucking old. Especially when his own projects are actually pretty involved and require a lot of effort.

But I also don't care because its his/their own fault for spreading him/themselves self so thin, and the boys thinking they need to crank these things out once a week no matter what to the point their main channels stagnate.

That said: story was fine. Bang average. It was so inoffensive I can't even think of something to mildly complain about.

Don't they try to make Christianity out to be just as evil and rotten as the literal hellspawn invading the world? Doubt he'd be too keen on that.

It's basically Imperium vs Chaos where one is fighting to protect humanity with extreme methods. The TC Church is their own branch of Christianity that is extremely dogmatic, militaristic, and fanatical that get up to some wild shit, but they are the settings "Good Guys" and do want to protect humanity against literal demons. I honestly can't tell if he will get offended or embrace the grimdark and roll with it like any other fictional story. Either way I want to hear his thoughts on the setting.
