Don't they try to make Christianity out to be just as evil and rotten as the literal hellspawn invading the world? Doubt he'd be too keen on that.
The people behind TC straight up came out and said there are no good guys in the setting. The forces of God and the demons are seen as moral equivalents because they both do brutal fucked up things, completely ignoring the motives and endgoal of both sides. Gray morality sludge, essentially.

It's a grimdark tabletop made after people started leaving 40k, except it's made by the exact same people that made those other people want to leave 40k in the first place.

Hunter seems burnt the fuck out. Can't blame the guy either. So many of these stories are just fucking awful, and the ones that aren't really don't do anything different. They're just more competently written despite relying on basically all of the same tropes and story beats. And considering he was never too into this kinda shit before the podcast, I can see doing this stuff multiple times a week getting really fucking old. Especially when his own projects are actually pretty involved and require a lot of effort.

But I also don't care because its his/their own fault for spreading him/themselves self so thin, and the boys thinking they need to crank these things out once a week no matter what to the point their main channels stagnate.

That said: story was fine. Bang average. It was so inoffensive I can't even think of something to mildly complain about.

Trench Crusade wants to be 40k so badly that they add in retarded amounts of grimdark.

I haven't watched anything he's made in a year but I can tell just from the thumbnails that a lot of it is slop. Full time editors will always be a mistake. Have I missed any worth while creepcasts?

Am I the only one who thought Isaiah was getting uncomfortable when Hunter was complaining about "white trash"? I felt like he was trying to steer it into something more lighthearted while Hunter was being vitriolic.
The A to B to C on Hunter is painfully stereotypical to someone who’s been there. Without an ounce of research, I’m going to say:
A) he grew up poor in a predominantly white, Christian community that stressed traditional values
B) he had almost 0 contact with minorities or other cultures/religions growing up
C) this being an unimaginably horrible fate, he rebelled by getting hard into death metal, edgy shock comedy, and gross-out gore.

His personality has not evolved one bit in 20-30 years, which is how he somehow comes off as more of a manchild than a cohost who was born an entire generational demographic after him.

A) I know he's mentioned that he grew up or at least spent a large chunk of his younger years in the Provo area of Utah which most Mormons surrounding that area consider the people living in it to be other the top in their beliefs. Shiites Mormons if you will.

B) Depending on how much time he lived in UT, you're right on the money.

He did say he was homeless for a time and grew up in Utah. He talks a lot about Mormons so that's 2 for 2, he shit talks his dad(jokingly but still) on occasion. His mom dosen't seem very religious but that's hard to convey in a sex and the city video.

Huh??? Baffling choice for the second channel.
A fucking NXIVM in this day and age? Has that case not been talked about to death?

Are you really in such a drought of content, Wendi?

New bonus stories up on Kemono:
Banger episode. Story was just cringe enough that they clearly had a lot of fun with it.
Shit story and genuine Hunter crashout over the peak reddit writing. Sounds like it was intended as a main channel upload but it was so ass they decided against it.

You forgot the enlightened Muslim faction that are good guys.

Spoiler: Everyday I Shit My Pants
I was wondering how there was an hour long episode about shitting your pants, Really it was a 20 minute story about shitting your pants with a 20 minute intro about how many times Meat has shit his pants as an adult and whether they would throw away the clothing if it happened to them and then a 20 minute outro of a specific time that Meat had shit his pants. Pretty solid episode, made me think of this Johnen Vasquez comic

Genuinely thought I was in the idubbbz thread a minute reading this comic.

Wendi's surface-level takes on popular media aren't really worth my time, or his.
I don't really mind those necessarily, he's good at presenting them, and going in deph.

I think the biggest issue is when he covers either
A. Topics that have been absolutely done to death  ahem mouthwashing ahem
B. History stuff, all of which has either also been done to death, or done much better by people more qualified, I.E. Waco.

Branching out from being the conspiracy theory iceberg paranormal guy is fine, but the man is starting produce "new" content that isn't all that new. Any truecrime or cult stuff he covers has been done by 7 other channels, and any history stuff he does isn't as well done as dedicated history channels. I wouldn't say he shouldn't branch out, but he needs to stick to what he knows.

I think the issue is it’s a fairly shallow well and it feels repetitive to do from both his perspective as the creator and the wider audience consuming the content. On top of that he’s gotten big enough to have a big enough core parasocial base that’ll just click on whatever he puts out which keeps him afloat to the detriment of his own content.

I just listened to the two paid episodes via Kemono. I will say, they seem to completely understand the cult of personality echo chamber format. The only way they can get away with dumping that slop for cash is knowing that the people paying for it are, without any sugarcoating, literal payPIGS. They will eat ANYTHING Wendi and Meat drop, and we are nearing Goldthwait levels of "debone a fish live onstage and call it ART."

The morally correct way to view Creepcast's exclusive content. They've begun to shove 3 sponsorships into every video now, they don't need my $5 a month.

Half of said sponsorships are the most shady companies possible. I'm definitely going to trust this random ass company with my medical and financial information because the conspiracy iceberg man told me so. Please ignore the fact that every time there's one of these obviously shady financial service companies being shilled by Youtubers, it ends up being a scam.

Assuming everyone is going the lowest amount possible, the patreon rakes in ~100k a month. Meats patreon for his own stuff nets him like an extra 44k or so a month as well.
And then we add the in video sponsors. Then discount codes that they get a kickback on. Then whatever youtube itself gives them. Then the merch sales on top of it all. And the multiple channels they each have that all have sponsors and are monetized through youtube. Oh as well as the occasional stream.

Yeah fuck paying for their patreon.
