For everyone 1 Ben drowned and the Russian sleep experiment there are 1000 ESL happy appy and suicidemouse.avi pastas written by children. That's always been the curse of creepypasta. Anyone can write it but that means that 12 year olds end up being the bulk of the writers.
tbf it's extremely easy to make a fake children's show that looks like it was made by a serial killer for no dollars by having a few friends dig around their attics and giving you stuff they haven't gotten around to throwing away yet to use as props and it's a genuinely creepy aesthetic, the worse it is the better. Fake children's shows that genuinely look good like Don't Hug Me I'm Scared are much harder to find (Also Don't Hug Me I'm Scared would make for a great, short creeptv, it's like 45 minutes of high quality content. Creepy cult stuff and metaphysics to ponder for Wendi and body horror/genuinely good craftsmanship/artistry for Meat, I think they'd both love it)
Sturgeon's law except for Creepypasta the cream of the crop isn't even particularly good writing wise (at least Ben Drowned did have admittedly good visuals and Russian Sleep Expirment was schlocky fun).
Maybe the author should write a story called Mother Basketball Eyes about the haunted watermelon and fried chicken interface. And instead of alcohol the main character is addicted to crack and instead of the CIA its people enforcing child support payments. That might be more your speed
The Russian Sleep experiment pasta always creeped me out because the Russian government did make a super powered fentanyl based gas that they used in a botched hostage situation in Moscow way back in 2002. Unlike most other pastas that deal with the supernatural or haunted video games it's very much within the realm of possibility for a stimulant gas to be made and for people to go insane being exposed to it. Like I could imagine in some alternant universe the US making that gas and testing it during the MK ultra experiments back in the 60s.

It's why films like the Crazies freaked me out when I was younger. Goverments get up to shit and are not honest with the public. You got Russian hikers, fit young adults, start dropping dead randomly because of some residual nerve gas or some shit. Or a Russian lab making anthrax has a leak and kills like 50 people. Or the US knowingly spreads syphilis to healthy adults to study the effects. Or a camp for girls gets covered in "snow" from nearby nuclear testing. Or China (with US help) making viruses in a densely populated city and they have a leak just before the biggest travel holiday. Then when something does happen and the goverment comes in to help, are you actually safe or are they cleaning house to cover it up.

Keeping his daughter private so she does not need to be tied to him and can become her own person later in life is a sweet sentiment and I respect that he is being forward thinking about protecting his kids anonymity, but damn is he optimistic that he will still be popular and relevant 15 years from now when she enters high school and that stuff might become a problem.
It used to be way better, the first few months they did it and showed real passion. Now they've read pretty much every famous and highly regarded creepypasta and just kind of put out slop for the money. Still not bad to listen to while doing chores tbh.
