Let's be real, everyone's favorite Creepcast episodes are probably the ones filled with them doing really funny bits and suffering through terrible stories, the episodes where they're reading an okayish story and going "wow this story is good!" I entirely tune out because it'd take me a quarter of the time to just read the story itself without someone in my ears stopping to remind me to like it.
Shout out to the autist who makes the funny bits compilations out of every episode within the hour of it going live.

I Solved The Fermi Paradox | Creep Cast

I just finished this and honestly I probably would've preferred if the story was focused around a groupchat of traumatized schizos enabling and triggering each other's delusions instead of INSTANTLY switching to this scooby doo buddy cop road trip mystery with a tough manic pixie dream girl sidekick waifu who turns out to not at all be tough. There was NOTHING to that shit other than describing the two driving along with pointless descriptions of harmless hallucinations until they reached the nonsensical infodump at the end delivered by a naked fat fetish character.
It is kinda funny how the protag just pussied out at the end, though, and left the chick to drown or cross over or whatever, but I honestly really regret wasting time to watch the full video after already watching the much shorter darbo edit of the funny moments.

You can tell how fucking done with this story Wendi was at the end with how quiet he is, Meat goes on like a 5 min monologue about the story at the end and Wendi doesn't interrupt or add anything just complete silence. It's a little weird because this isn't the worst story they've ever read by a long shot but Wendi built up some expectation at the start and had it all crash down around him.

I also think Meat was pretty spot on at the end, the author had part 1 planned out and the rest was just made up as it went along until the author just decided to end it.

I think he just really, really hates 'infinite multiverse' stories, and the shitty title had him primed for a completely different kind of story. The only multiverse stories he's seemed to like were I Wrote Myself a Letter and got a Response and Mother Horse Eyes. I Wrote Myself a Letter just has the two parallel timelines with good and bad protagonist while Mother Horse Eyes seems closer to the Steins;Gate worldline model where only one dimension/timeline is active at a time and it's swapping between them as the protagonist experiences the various points of view because he needs all the experiences to be able to come to the conclusion that will enact the will of Stein's Gate. It also doesn't hurt that it felt like it was pretty much tailor-written to appeal to him lol

It adding a manic pixie dream girl who speaks in Joss Whedon quips was the finishing blow

I don’t think MHE was a multiverse, as far as I remember all of the events described occur in one single timeline with the story set in the future being the “bad end” that’s averted by the actions of the protagonist removing MHE from our timeline, resulting in the real world where MHE’s influence never took place.

I think it covers at least two timelines, if not more. You have the one where Mother's influence shaped the course of history and ultimately doomed humanity, and the second one where the protag is a hopeless drunk getting all these visions of the doomed timeline (or having the most insane daydreams). Their world was doomed from the very beginning, but the protag's world still has some hope, so long as the protag writes his stories or somesuch.

There's definitely at least two timelines, probably three, maybe four (and presumably more)

The main three in my opinion are:
Mostly normal real life timeline, flesh interfaces pop up here and there as people are exposed to LSD/LSD analogs. People are influenced and try to increase MHE's hold on reality (or do so indirectly by trying to use the flesh interfaces for their own purposes)

Once MHE has sufficient influence the nephilim timeline emerges leading to humans who can perceive the 4th dimension. That was what the whole witch-in-the-woods videogame was about. They weren't reacting to the game, they were selecting a future where they made the right decision. This is the timeline with the hygiene beds where the woman just leads the narrator('s PoV) to the middle of nowhere to wait for a better timeline to emerge

Then the final timeline is the better timeline, where MHE is just a story because the narrator saved himself from a future where he brought MHE into power

The chitinous cruciforms could be from an alternate reality, an alternate timeline, or they could just be aliens from another planet/moon in the galaxy/universe that MHE is also trying to use in case humanity doesn't work out. I lean towards just aliens personally but we don't get a ton of info about them so I'm open to changing my mind about what they are

So maybe there's just a single primary timeline where the events described all occur, but there's definitely a second one where none of it did

I don't want to spoil S;G but that's the closest comparison in my opinion. The protagonist is the sole observer that's able to witness changes in the timeline, and as a result of that they can make conscious decisions to try and create a better timeline, but only one timeline ever exists, the previous timeline ceases to exist once the new one is selected/created and only the observer has knowledge of the previous one(s)

If you haven't played or at least watched Steins;Gate go check it out, it's the best piece of time travel/timeline shenanigan media to exist in my opinion. The remake just came out on steam (sorry for shilling lol, it's just a legitimately great piece of media)

Edit: spoiler marks for the bros who haven't finished MHE yet

My interpretation was that the protagonist WAS in the doomed timeline and getting visions of covered-up MHE shenanigans; and his actions resulted in the MHE being purged, rewriting the timeline to our "real world", but it's been a long time since I listened to that episode so there might be some contradictory details I'm not remembering.

I'm only about halfway through but it's definitely fun so far. The narrator is just such a turbo-goober and his cringe is almost endearing. It's similar to last week's story in that it has a misleading title where the guys theorize on what the story might be based on the name only to realize they wasted ten minutes because the story is something else entirely. Nice to watch the guys have fun and enjoy something from time to time lol

Yeah, this story was kind of corny but the prose and pacing were pretty good for the genre.
I think they were spot-on when they said it was basically a Tales From The Crypt episode. The author knew what his target was, and didn't let his reach exceed his grasp. It's not exactly original, but the execution was decent.

I might have liked it better if the author had established that it was set a few decades ago, when rock and metal had a lot more mainstream popularity.
Literally all the author needs to do is just remove references to cell phones as it needlessly dates the story. Everything else from the hippy chick to the dive bar, and classic rock covers are enough to give a vague era. But otherwise pretty comfy horror story.

Tried watching the next to last episode, and there's so much shit they cut out for the patreon in just the first few minutes that it turned me off.

Then we get to the story about the model agency proper and it's just a really fucking lazy faggy love story about how a dyke gets into crush porn to pay her dyke wife's medical bills after a wreck. With some really random ass bit where the MC loses her job because some students parents complain about the books she picked out for her AP Lit course. And of course the dyke teacher picked books exclusively about sex and/or pedophilia and this is supposed to be some "heckin conservatives censoring books!" and not a case of a problematic teacher finally giving them a reason to fire them. Also funny the author just had to be so on the nose about it. Couldn't have picked literally any other books besides Lolita, Handmaiden's etc? Whatever.

Idk what the ramble is about. The stories suck cock more and more lately and the dudes are being greedier and greedier.
I absolutely lost my fucking marbles watching that one. It was so preachy I couldn’t tell for sure if it was a joke or not, but it seems the author (19 year old pooner with a Fluttershy profile pic, who LARPs as a Christian to push wokesphere blue-fascist faggotry) was dead fuckin’ serious
