Opinion We’re conjoined twins and share a vagina — but only one of us has a boyfriend - These siblings are attached at the hip — literally.

Conjoined twins, 22-year-old Lupita and Carmen Andrade, recently opened up about what it’s like to live their lives fused together — and the common misconceptions about their dating lives and beyond.

The twins, who were born in Mexico but grew up in Connecticut, share a pelvis, a reproductive system, a liver and a bloodstream, they told Today.com. They each have one leg; Carmen controls the right one.

“It’s not all rainbows and sunshine. We’ve had a lot of challenges, but we have a great life,” Carmen told the outlet. “We go to movies and concerts [sharing one seat] and we travel on airplanes.”

They explained that they have never tried to have a surgery that would separate them, as it could be fatal for one or even both of them.

When they were little, they had physical therapy to learn how to sit up and work their legs — they took their first steps when they were 4 years old.

But when it comes to dating, they have a bit of a different outlook — Carmen has a boyfriend named Daniel, while Lupita is asexual.

Lupita and Carmen Andrade are 22-year-old conjoined twins who live in Connecticut.

They are unable to get surgery to de-conjoin them, as it could be fatal.

Carmen has a boyfriend named Daniel, while Lupita is asexual.

“I never tried to hide the fact that I’m a conjoined twin, which meant I got a lot of messages from guys with fetishes,” she told the outlet.

Carmen met her boyfriend on the dating app Hinge in October 2020, and she said that he set himself apart by not asking her a question about being a conjoined twin to start off their conversation.

Even though she and Daniel are dating, Carmen said they are not sexually intimate with each other. During an interview last year with Jubilee, she described their bond as more of a “close friendship.”

The two have talked about getting engaged in the future, but they want to live together first.

“Daniel and I love kids, but we don’t want any of our own,” she added. “I like being a dog mom! Lupita and I can’t get pregnant, we have endometriosis and we’re also on a hormone blocker that prevents us from menstruating.”

Although Lupita isn’t dating Daniel, Carmen says the two get along “really well.”

“It’s funny because I stay up later than Lupita, but when Daniel sleeps over, I fall asleep quickly — and he stays up talking with her,” Carmen told Today.

She continued, “Sometimes I feel bad because I want to spend so much time with Daniel. So we try to come up with compromises. Like, [Lupita] will choose where we go out to dinner, or what activity we’re going to do.”

The two are attached by their torso and share many different body parts, like their liver.

They revealed that they don't get sick of each other, either.

Carmen said that she and Daniel want to move in together before they get engaged.

But while they may differ in dating, they are very similar in a lot of other areas, like their career aspirations. The two both want to work in the veterinary industry, and Lupita has hopes of becoming a comedy writer as well.

Carmen explained that she and Lupita have the same taste in attire and that one of their neighbors has even been sewing their clothes together since they were 5 years old.

However, the twins make an effort to try to have their own unique looks — for example, Carmen has a septum piercing in her nose.

The two can also feel each other’s feelings — literally.

“I can feel when Carmen is anxious or about to cry,” Lupita revealed. “It’s that same stomach drop.”

Carmen noted that Lupita happens to be “way more observant” than her, like when they went to a store recently and she caught a man filming them, even though he claimed he was really filming his daughter.

“When we were nearly 6, we had a nightmare that we were going to fall off of a plane, and then we literally fell off of our bed,” Carmen explained. “That only happened once, but we can feel the other person’s emotions. That happens all the time.”

"It’s not all rainbows and sunshine, we’ve had a lot of challenges, but we have a great life," Carmen told TODAY.com.

The two had to have physical therapy when they were younger in order to learn how to walk and sit up.

Carmen and Lupita admitted that they don’t even get sick of each other.

At the end of a long day, they usually do their own things — for example, Carmen will do some schoolwork and Lupita will listen to music.

Despite their unconventional life, the two are happy. They recall having a very joyful childhood and the same group of friends since they were young.

They’ve also shared their journey as conjoined twins on their TikTok account, @carmenandlupita. They do get their fair share of nasty comments, Carmen said, but also noted that it’s important for people to keep in mind that they’re humans with feelings, too.

“We’ve been conjoined our whole life, so it’s not like we miss our independence,” Carmen said.

“It’s all we’ve ever known, right?”

They have each her own brain. Most people aren't horny all the time, something makes them horny and the brain is involves. People have tastes in who they want to fuck, and at the extreme fetishes. If the brain didn't matter for cooming, people wouldn't acquire fetishes and we wouldn't have troons.
The horny brain of one girl affects the sexual reaction of the body. The other cannot be asexual because they can feel sexual arousal. Asexuality involves extremely low to no libido. It's a mental issue due to rape/CSA or other traumatic issues or a genetic defect. Lot of tumblr fags ruined the definition but true asexuality means you ain't even getting off to masturbating. It's not a matter of not being sexually attracted to anyone. Lot of women would inaccurately qualify as asexual based on that logic.

I watched a documentary about them years ago. Glad to see they're still doing good and that one of them has found love. I don't think it's a fetish because of how their relationship is described, but it wouldn't surprise me if the guy eventually bailed out because he wants to have intimacy.

The article has many answers to your questions. The other twin seems to get along fine with the guy and they have agreements to how to deal with life. They also have some sense of self and autonomy, but when you're conjoined “autonomy” is different. I've heard cases of Siamese twins like this having a family or getting married. While we single-bodied-tons may find it bizarre, when you're stuck to another person 24/7 you may have a different perspective in life. I'm pretty sure they can come to agreements in most cases, or learn to cope otherwise.

This is stupid. They should learn to code and earn two salaries, instead of working a physical job and earning only one.
Even if they have learned to effectively control each arm and hand separately for such a task that wouldn't lead to double the output of a regular programmer. It'd still be awkward as fuck and each of their outputs may as well end up being worse. The only way this'd work out to 'double' their salaries would be if there was a fully functional brain interface that let you instantly input via thought with little error.

The one without a boyfriend is asexual and has a septum piercing. I'd imagine they can both feel their privates bc a lot of the organs are shared. But they're on hormone blockers bc of endo so probably have no sex drives. No wonder one of them is asexual, I'd be turned off too if I could never get any privacy from my own sister.
Just pray the asexual girl never goes transmasc and starts taking T. That would mean the other twin has no choice to be exposed to it, even if she's not trans. There are two conjoined twin girls with one trans, but I don't think she takes hormones. Wiki does say she transitioned though? Their names are Lori and George Schappell. The trans one also has spina bifida and has to be cared for day to day by her twin, is severely disabled and cannot walk.
It always seems like one of them is more normal looking and one is more like a parasite with just a head that doesn't really seem connected to the body as much a lot of the time. Too bad removing isn't possible in this case. I know Craniopagus parasiticus is rare even among conjoined twins, but even when they don't actually have that, one twins just seems more symmetrical with more normal features while one seems more disabled, asymmetrical and less normal facial features.
Lori acts as George's facilitator. She works in a laundry, arranging her workload around his singing commitments. She says that, as a fan of his, she pays to attend concerts, just like all the other fans, simply making herself quiet and "invisible" while he is performing.

I can't imagine how painful their positioning must be to maintain. Medical kiwis, do twins like this spend a lot of time upright? Are they doing physical therapies because of how fucked up this must make their upper backs? Are they all addicted to opioids to kill the pain?

In other twin news, look who got married.

...wouldn't they share orgasms?

I cannot wrap my head around how consent could work...wouldn't it also be automatic incest?

Well. Probably best not to think about it too hard. Good luck, I hope they live happy lives.

Imagine trying to learn to walk when you have to co-ordinate your other leg with your twin.

Man, imagine if these two started following different political ideologies lmao
