Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

I actually remember how they did it specifically. Mainly, the villain's MO was to only steal coins with Susan B. Anthony on them because she hated men so much she didn't even want them on her money. So the girls proceed to lecture her on how Susan wanted to be punished like a man because she believed that equality should also apply to consequences. And then they beat the shit out of her, which lead to her whining about how her prison outfit made her look fat.

I can already tell, they'd have to start censoring a little more in the UK version...

1. Wasn't that PPG episode with the Feminazi also an episode that Lauren Faust later regretted writing on? Less because she thought she betrayed a cause but rather because she felt it was really hastily produced or some shit?

2. (just to kid the guy who wants to feel in the in crowd with cat and Dynastia) If Dobson was the head of SU, the fans would have to wait more than 5 years for a Steven Bomb.

EDIT:
3. in relation to Craig McCracken shows, anyone here has bothered to watch Wander over Yonder?
Cause I find that show hilarious.

What I heard is that she regretted that episode because nobody seemed to get where she was going when the episode first came out.

iirc, there was a villain on PPG that basically was an SJW feminist. and the girls basically told her to cut that shit out in the end (my memory is hazy, it's been a long time). that wouldn't sit well nowadays. also i'm sure the fact that the girl have a father but not a mother would make people breakdown and have a rage fit.

How come the reboot can't be like this? This guy gets it.

By the by, here's the kind of quality animation you can expect in this reboot:

This is truer than we know. Cow and Chicken was one of the most sexually confused cartoons ever made.

Remember all those jokes about C&C's dad being a woman (and the mom being a man)? Remember how the Red Guy was alternately male or female depending on the short, despite not even changing the voice?

This is presumably why CN has not tried to reboot it. In fact, a lot of CN's old hits are probably never going to get rebooted. Johnny Bravo? The title character alone is enough to draw controversy these days, never mind that we're supposed to laugh with him. Ed, Edd n Eddy? No sympathetic female characters. (Though the fact it was produced at another studio might be just why; same with Courage the Cowardly Dog)...

Indeed, the reason The Powerpuff Girls is getting rebooted is because CN wants to position it as their "girl power" property. And all the signs point to them making it the kind of show the original was not. The clip that's come out lately? The villain's name is fucking Manboy, and he's a neckbeard stereotype.

They actually attempted to bring back Courage The Cowardly Dog as a CGI animated show, they even made a pilot for it, only downside is they couldn't get the old VA for Eustace back:

Wallace Shawn is Eustace in this?... I take issue with this on that alone. Wallace Shawn is a great actor, a wonderful actor, but he's not Eustace. Otherwise, I see John Dilworth was involved, so it can't be that bad.

(The second guy who played Eustace is actually 93 years old and retired. I see no reason to force an old man out of retirement to do voice work.)
