Eh, there are still a few gems scatted across the later seasons.
100% agreed with ya on that one. Hell, some of my favorite episodes of the show came from the fourth season. Selling Out (the one with the Krabby O'Mondays), Krabs vs Plankton ("I'M SORRY GRAM-GRAM!"), Skill Crane ("I'M A WINNER EVERYBODY! YA HEAR IT?!" *crickets*), and Krusty Towers ("We shall never deny a guest, even the most ridiculous request!"). In order of best to least-good, I'd rank the first four seasons of SpongeBob as such - 3 > 2 > 4 > 1

Griz is an asshole, Panda's a faggot, and Ice Bear is OP. I wanted to like this show especially since one of my closest friends loved it, but I just couldn't. The only exception was the giant burrito episode, and the opening song is catchy.
There was also the We Baby Bears spinoff that got increasingly political. Iirc they kept feeling the need to dunk on Musk, and there was an episode where a nonbinary self insert had to be defended from Le meanie art critic.

If I'm not mistaken that show also had the undertale guy in it. I think he was a skeleton or something. But I thought that show was cancer anyway

What do ya'll make of this news? It is made by the same dude behind that Amphibia cartoon that I've never been bothered to watch because it looked bad from an art style point of view.

Seems most people would say the first three seasons plus the first movie is all the SpongeBob you need to see.
Sometimes I wish that the show had gotten cancelled after Band Geeks. There would be some good stuff that would be missed, but imagine the show going out on such a high note and nearly every episode being a banger. It'd be one of those super fondly remembered series from the turn of the millennium that nobody could stop talking about. "How weird was it, a show about a sea sponge by a marine biologist! it only had 2 season but it was so good! Nick only put it on DVD once and some people say there's lost media from an episode that was censored around 9/11!"

Art critic? I haven’t met one that wasn’t some flavor of leftoid

Spongebob season 1 is my favorite. It makes me wish they made more episodes with traditional cel animation. Also what’s crazy is that while most other shows spend the first season finding their footing. Spongebob and his cast are laid out perfectly.
