He’s right about one thing: you do need to be a little crazy to sit long hours drawing traditionally. Even with vector puppets because the technical workflow is agonizing.

With a little imagination and talent, even if it meant drawing the same thing over and over again, it would be worth it in the long run. Do you know how much research I had to do to get an unraped copy of The Lion King? Too much ...and that's a film with an autistic fandom keeping an eye out for these things.

Yeah except a lot of the non-canon DBZ movies still had sick ass villains and fights to make up for the forgettable story.

Tapping into the hype monkey-brain is where it excels, whereas Avatar always relied on the characters themselves and/or the story. Hype moments and aura can't carry that series.

I was so close to putting Bio-Broly in there but thought it would be too obvious.

Though tbf I did only say "a lot" and not "all", History of Trunks is just a good movie in general and I will defend Bojack Unbound if only for Trunks's screentime.
