So they're blanking the fact the Luz has been confirmed to be bi by the creator and indeed in the second episode was salivating over "the teen prince of Angstmore." Like someone already posted, more fun bi erasure.The Owl House fandom is having a fuckibng stroke right now because Luz (who is stated to be bisexual) spoke to a b o y.
Now they convinced themselves they're siblings, because they can't admit he's a better character than Amity.
edit: shoot, this was supposed to go to the shipping thread, but we were discussing TOH anyway. The recent episode is actually pretty good, maybe the show will redeem itself because stuff about the convent and the emperor are more interesting than romance shit. Hunter is a good character, but it's fucking hilarious how hypocritical Lumity hos are.
What if Dana's been baiting us all along?
edit2: Fans are rallying on twitter to save the show but looking through the hashtag it's mostly Lumity shit. Literally all they care about.
Also the constant "sibling energy" shrieks is both creepy and a further reminder that some of these people really do not comprehend the existence of non-sexual relationships between friends. Guessing Hunter is the Emperor's new golden boy? He had some interesting energy in the episode he already showed up in so having him be interacted with as a person is not bad. While I would say that making them siblings could be entirely viable given Luz's father has not been mentioned (neither was Anne's in Amphibia now that I think about it, the internet though informs me he exists). it would seem like an odd choice especially with a show without much run time left. But hey, it's a children's show about magic.
I still consider Owl House okay, and I would say pretty darn harmless to show to children with the lessons it teaches, but a lot of its fandom need to bathe and stay the hell off the internet. And they should all accept that for all their shrieking adoration of the Amity pairing;
This is pretty much as creepy as most of what Dipper said about Wendy in Gravity Falls. And if they'd had a male character doing it (unless it was about another man) Twitter would have broken out the pitchforks
