Anyone here ever watched Tyler, The Creator’s “The Jellies”?
This might belong in the [adult swim] Griefing Thread, but I remember after Loiter Squad came out, they wanted both him and his friend Lionel Boyce to do a cartoon for them. Only thing is, though, is that they managed to do just a couple of seasons and that was it.
I do, however, remember when this interview Tyler gave to a Comic-Con audience more than a few years back. It was a trending on YT at point for a couple of months:

Because they ARE artificial. From Sugar, to Stevenson, to Terrace, to Rodriguez, modern Western animation isn't about the audience - it's all about the bitches that draw these shit-shows.

There's no voices and they still shot it down? wow they are learning too much too fast.
I'm surprised that wasn't Lacienaga sitting there. The trailer featured classic characters only. Michael is way too changed to be recognizable anymore.

2001: A black male character who liked effeminate stuff but was still recognizably a boy and thereby teaching young boys that yes, you can like feminine things and still be comfortable in your masculinity while not making a big deal about it
2021: "OBVIOUSLY THIS MEANS THAT HE'S GENDER NON-CONFORMING OMG SO BRAVE!" aka completely emasculating him

So i just finished watching the new Amphibia episodes released on Disney Plus and..... well...
- King Andrias turning a once thriving kingdom into the Amphibian equivalent of North Korea and Democratic Kampuchea
- Many of the characters that we've previously seen in Newtopia (Gertie, Bella, Priscilla, etc.) presumably getting enslaved or executed
- Various creatures that were abducted from other Dimensions being used for resources
- Olivia being Mind-Fucked by a hologram of her mother
- Marcy getting violently assimilated by a Robotic Eldritch Demon made from the souls of presumably Kidnapped and Murdered people
- End Credits having an extremely foreboding tone.....
That is certainly some extremely heavy shit for a show about talking frogs....

Funny thing is is that the Proud family were canonly Republicans in the original. I could see Oscar easily being a Trump voter.
