It’s kind of odd having to read the headline that Cartoon Network will no longer be a thing due to layoffs and radical political agendas affecting WB’s bottom line.

Not that I’m for lavishing corporations, but for something that celebrated it’s 30th Anniversary, it seems as if it is going out with a whimper instead of a bang.

Twitter is now pissed at the Velma show because the showrunner liked a J.K. Rowling tweet.

Finished up season 2 of Teen Titans. So far, it's been alright. Nothing really great with the exception of Slade (RIP for now, you dirty old bastard) and Terra (RIP for now, you savage in the comics dad fucker). Spectacular's definitely the better hero show. It's not that Teen Titans is aimed towards kids, but it's too episodic and anthological to carry a cohesive overarching story. Plus, the villains (with the exception of Slade and Terra) are just meh. Not sure how much of that is them using the comic villains or a failure of their writing.

The intro will let you know what episodes are episodic and which ones are just comedic one-offs.

i know this is a 2019 thing to say but as a certian clown prince of crime once said....

It's not about money it's about a message.

They cared more about the later, lost the former now they're paying the price for it.

What did you think I was gonna say?

I dropped into the show during season 2 and it was one of my first forays as a kid into long-form storytelling (hint: each season had five episodes that were interconnected). Terra's arc just devastated little me, and TT!Slade is more terrifying than comics!Deathstroke. And his name is Deathstroke.

Season 4 is my favorite villain set. Shit got wild.

Mad mad: Am I a joke to you my duckie?

well ok yes he is but..in a good way. Slade, Trigon and Terra make us afraid. Mad Mod, Control Freak and Killer Moth make us laugh. Speaking of control freak I always wondered why DC never tried to bring him into the DC universe. They did with Mas y Menos and of course there's Harley Quinn. Went from background sidekick girlfriend to her own show in just under 30 years.

He probably just fits into the otaku weeb archetype and maybe the existence of that lad might hurt some eyes in the public target, who knows.

Finished season 3 of Teen Titans.
god, that was boring

Slade really did add something to the show. I didn't give a shit about the hive dude at all.
It's been a while since I watched the show, but I do remember 3 being very inconsistent in quality. Keep going, you're at what some would call the peak now.

Honestly, Slade was my favorite besides Thunder & Lightning. No other villain on the show got to me except for Slade. He gave me chills every time I saw him. Honestly, I thought most of the other villains were lame or unimpressive even for kid’s superhero show, including Trigon.

All cartoon network had to do was keep making not pozzed silly crude juvenile outlandishly violent stoner comedy
Let this be a lesson to them; don’t listen to politically correct or idiots on twitter.
