Okay, I just watched the final episode of The Owl House (Yeah, I hate myself) and what a shock.
It's tripe and lacks any originality.
It pulls every card, every cringy trick that has plagued modern cartoons since shows like Steven Universe, it redeems a villain who has tormented people for their amusement, and Luzs gains God mode and overpowers the real big bad villain.
And by the way, you wanna know who the real villain of this show is?
Well, as it turns out, all horrors and drama, all the evil that tormented the people in this world were caused in this show, were all caused by "gasp" A WHITE MAN!!!
That's right. A white male is the real villain of The Owl House, and you wanna know why? It's because he's racist and wants to make an ethnostate for humans, so he turns himself into an undead demon to carry out his genocidal plan.
So, of course, he doesn't deserve redemption for his racism and gets stomps to death.
Now this part where the show tries to pull off this tragic sacrifice where Luzs losses the ability to use glyphs which were the primary source of her powers, and now she is just a normal huma- NAH NOPE!!!
She's still learning in magic school and, in true mary sue fashion, is taking all the magic lessons in the school (because these people have no concept of committing to one skill and are so egotistical that they think they can do anything), including the most important lesson of them all, Bi History.
The portal to the magic is open (Thus lacking any consequences that the final episode Amphibia had, which is why that show overshadows The Owl House). The cast says goodbye to their minuscule fanbase, THE END.
What a waste of people's time and money, and all for a show based on the creator's magical gay self-insert fanfic.
