Honestly, Young Justice has only been getting worse as time goes on, and it really starts to make sense why that is when you begin to read Greg Weisman's Tweets.
He comes as one of those guys who think he's smarter than everyone else. He's terminally online and loves to get his ass kissed by the parasites that live on Twitter, and yet at the same time, he also comes off as insecure.
Remember that one tweet he made to ratio someone because "they ruin his mood."
Isn't it rich that a white man is saying we should strip all white males from his own show? Not only does this Tweet comes off as passive-aggressive, but what makes it sadder is that this tweet kind of reveals that Greg is the type of person who loathes himself, the type of fool who bought into the con that white people are the source of all evil and we need to get rid of them.
It would explain why Young Justice had an episode where an "evil white king" of Atlantis gets destroyed the moment he's crowned but then gets replaced with a white female queen because a woman can do no wrong.
Or how the Justice League needed to beat Lek Luthor Because he was "trending" no, I'm not joking. They even make an entire team which includes emotional depress Beast Boy, so they can be retable to teenagers.
It all reeks of a creator who's so out of touch with the real world and ends up doing stupid shit like this, ultimately alienating his audience.
And this we get into something amusing about this show. Remember Halo? Of course, you don't because she is so forgettable and bland even though she has the power to come back from the dead.
Well, despite the show bragging about how Muslim and Gay she is, as it turns out, that wasn't how she original turn out.
In fact, Halo is just one of the many characters that Greg Weisman has decided to race swap.
Her original name, Gabriella Doe, is just another of the many characters that get their race changed to be more progressive. Hell, this is the same show that decided to make Zod of all people Black.
It was all to win woke points.
Greg Weisman doesn't give a shit about other races or cultures. He just wants everyone to be as progressive as he is, which it's shown in how he deals with others complaining about how nobody will accept his brand new characters.
This is a child in a man's body unable to accept how the world works. Just the idea that there are religions out there that thinks his ideals are stupid but also believe gay people deserve to die disgusts Greg, so he's going to make a gay Muslim to prove them wrong. He is one idiot, full of that self-righteous tripe you find in shows like Steven Universe, where the creators have a narrow view of the world.
Despite his attempts to write a show that explores the dark perceptive of heroism but it has become such a consulted mess with too many characters and subplots to focus on that it becomes impossible to care about. There are so many time skips that result in significant changes, and the only way to see those changes is through reading outside material, which is a horrible way to write a show and is one of the many reasons ratings have tanked over the years.
It's not even about the original team of young sidekicks trying to prove themselves worthy to their mentors, and it is just a DC show with brand new characters every next arc.
It's frustrating because Greg expects to fall in love with these new characters the moment they come on the screen when the audience really wants to focus more on the original team.
Even the animation has gotten worse. Count the number of times they use a slide show because it's so painfully clear they're on a tight budget. It's just painful.
It becomes very clear that they have no idea what to do with this show, and Greg Weisman will try composite for that by making it gayer and more progressive than ever, don't be surprised when Greg adds a Gay, trans, Latinx midget from Ukraine.
