No, it was renewed last year after Season 2 aired. The third season was the final one.
Even the fans of TOH were displeased, since they did not hear much from the creator regarding the sudden news, which then created speculation that Disney was to blame:

so did Cadillac's and dinosaurs (another great and criminally underrated 90s show btw)
The whole show is up on YouTube if anyone's curious to check it out. Man dinosaurs; cowboys, mummies, truly the 90s was the last great decade to be a kid, and especially a boy.

off topic but....sometimes when im down that nobody calls me dad and probably wont I remember that maybe it's better that way. I'd have to constantly worry about any kids I'd have being groomed or corrupted or taken away by cps if i try to raise them to not give in to the modern lunacy.

This is why stuff like spy x family is super popular right now. They dont preach some politics to their audience and they tell a story to the viewers that they can follow and that allows said viewers to escape reality, even if it’s just a little. The cartoon above isn’t a show, it’s a preachy monologue made for mentally regressed manchildren that spend their lives on twitter and tumblr whining into the void about identity politics and « Muh lgbtq raiiiights!!!11!! » just like the user above. It’s just so tiring.

I think I’ve mentioned it before but the really weird part is both the original short and the comic were aimed squarely at older audiences, ie the short had the dog watching porn while the comic had a story arc about bugchasing.
So the animated show's demographic supposedly changed yet the content itself is still something only young adults can enjoy. Maybe the creator wanted to avoid competing with Q-Force?

Speaking of cartoon dads and the Disney Afternoon, I'd like to suggest Drake Mallard (AKA Darkwing Duck) as one. Sure he has an ego, but he honestly loves his adopted daughter and tries despite being a single father.

And there was Galaxy Rangers and Bravestarr.
And still goes on. They're doing Black Clover and Boruto too I believe.
And of course that episode gets brought up. More children's cartoons need vaguely depressing endings.
They kept some of that in the Ducktales remake. While he's not an official parent the new Darkwing is similarly doing his best with new Goslin who debatably comes with a lot more trouble than the old one.

Hey look, it's Ed Gilbert again.
I read the original MiB comics for the first time a few months ago. I was surprised how few there were and, frankly, how shit they were. Since the films took a nosedive after the first one too and that was basically a vehicle for Will Smith to play Will Smith, I was also surprised to realise that the most sustained, most in-depth, most consistently good MiB continuity was the cartoon series. The spinoff of the spinoff.
