Because they're egotistical insufferable assholes.
They know about writing deep & emotional scenes aren't their thing, but only because they can't think more than their ass.
So, it's more easy writing shipping & pandering, literally tumblr-like level.

I've often wondered why all this lesbianism in western animation isn't pissing off more incels who can't claim characters like amity, Velma, or who ever the idiots in charge of the medium decide to lesbofy next as waifus, But then I remembered oh yeah people like Kevin gibes and Billy boy Sophie Labelle exist. Just throw on a skirt and panties, maybe coast through some quack shrink sessions to get approved for hrt, and if all else fails get an amhole installed and boom! Instantly you too are now also so totally a legit uwu kissy cutie lesbian.

I no longer fear death, because as scary as our own mortality is. I take comfort in knowing that William hanna and Joe Barbara aren't with us to see their life's work...for lack of a better word desecrated.


I've been watching a lot of Golden age animation recently. I think to myself, Bob clampet; tex avery, Chuck Jones, the fleschier Brothers, William hanna and Joe barbera, friz freling, Windsor McCay, frank thomas ollie Johnson, the nine old men and most of all the king himself Walt Disney are all gone now.



Legends who made an impact in their own time, and for generations afterwards. Even as time and the world changed.





What do we have now? Who's picked up the torch and become the new masters to replace the old ones? Alex Hirsch? Daniel Kibblesmith? Rebecca sugar? None of them ever have nor will they ever live up to what the great men of the past achieved. To quite Tex Avery himself.

Wherever you are Tex I hope you're directing the greats and can't see what these insufferable...overgrown...children have done to the medium.

Honestly I'm not surprised. Hollyweird is insane and I can't wait for the big blowout when the SJW crowd cries fowl when this show is cancelled. When you make the live action Scooby Doo movies look good you're doing it wrong!

The ONLY modern cartoon that hasn't shit all over the heritage of animation and been an actually decent homage to it has so far been the cuphead show. Hey Netflix I'll take one more season of big mouth if it at least means you'll give that show another season to adapt the delicious last course. Just for the love of all things decent left in the world (few as they may be) don't cancel that gem in this endless sea of garbage.

What we have now is a slow return of old boys that probably should have retired by now, but no one could replace them. CN crawling back to Gennedy and Craig. Fox and MTV crawling back to Judge. Apple aping up Pixar’s old staff. Then Nickelodeon sometimes trying to bring back any 90s and early 2000s talent like Vasquez to do specials or reboots. I am sure DC will also pull Bruce or Dini back in for something at some point as they have with a few of their animated movies. Then there’s Disney which keeps going back to Povenmire.

For modern good creators, at best maybe J.G. Quintel can return again, but they burned him hard recently. Ward would also be nice to see comeback, but I think he went off the grid to become a recluse.

I guess this all depends on who you see as good creators though. I guess I should ask, who should be allowed to go down with the animation greats from the 90s and beyond eras?

I have to mildly disagree on that old boys bit. the old boys may be old, but at least they know the medium and repect it,(except Joe Murray rot in hell for what you did to Ralph bighead) past present and future. unlike these damn whipersnappers running around thinking all you need to make a cartoon is a drawing tablet and a Twitter following.


To awnser your question, this is a man who's earned his rightful spot beside the great ones in the annuals of eternity.
