All this talk about xmen 97 is doomed to be a failure and an insult to the original in every possible way from insufferable butt hole showereunner to more agenda pushing then any ANY xmen property ever did even as far back as the original runs in the 60s (cause lets face reality people)

If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times. The xmen were indeed super heros who tackled "social issues" but they did so with grace and tact and still put the characters and story appealing to a general audience first.
Even The Last Stand, as half-baked as it was in the original X-Men movie trilogy, still kept the concept of social and political issues with more care than whatever mid-2010s onward writers are doing by virtue signaling

Sad thing aside the troon groomer and the two fag Dads. Strawberry shortcake 2022 is....well it's not top tier writing but if you cut out or ignore the woke talking points it's an OK show on its own. As far as mindless fluff for kids goes the show itself is...passable. I say passable because we'll the tranny and gay dads thing. But it's real simple to skip episodes that show that and the troon was only in that one episode.
Edit: also gotta love how even in animation, a medium where you can litterally take a female character model and say it was originally male. The people behind this show went out of their way to make trannyberry short rope over here look as Manish and uncanny as possible. Almost like they WANTED it to fail at passing.
I can't tell wether that's intentional double agent levels of trolling, or if the agps writing this crap are so confident in their delusions that they legit don't care about "passing."
I mean I hate to say it but...big mouth did this better. When it introduced their troon character they at least made the character model look like an actual girl. Though frankly I'm amazed big mouth didn't cross the line (yet) and show us wether their mtf tranny is pre op or post op....yet.

Crosspost from Disney general but tou know what the saddest part about xmen 97 is? There was a continuation of sorts to x-men 92. The 2015-2016 comic also called x-men 92. It was better written understood what made the 90s xmen a hit with fans and audiences oh and being made in a semi pre clown world time helped..like 2015 -2016 was only JUST a little over a decade ago and is often called the genesis that all of clown world was built on, but my God does it feel like a whole different world. This was when the worst thing anyone had to say about star wars was "force awakens feels too much like a remake of new hope." And "you know Ghostbusters 2 wasn't as good as the original but how could it possibly get any worse?

Ironically in the show, the Wattersons became humans (all white, except Nicole was Asian, I think) and Darwin was a fucking dog.

Wilt's based on basketball player stuff and therefore to corpos that instantly means black despite white basketball players also existing. It also might just be based on their VA though in which case there should be some white and asian guys in there that were voiced by black people.
