So this has been making rounds on Twitter that CartoonNetwork Studios has shut down along with it's WB branch. CN as a channel still exist's but the home of everything that was made on CN from the 90's to now is gone. The Animation guild is trying to make it seem like this is because of jobs going overseas and greedy corporations ( which they are right about, but for the wrong reasons ) and they are trying to stop this from happening but have spent the last 10 years moaning and groaning about DEI shit.

It's really funny because you can read Maxwell Atoms' Tumblr blog which he's had for like a decade now, where he's talked a lot about working at Cartoon Network including picking South Korean studios to work with on Billy & Mandy. He's become pretty brainrotted after 2016 and 2020 and whatnot but I don't think that's a good enough reason to discard what he's said about working in the past.

Looks Like it'll be an ok..if not unnecessary thing. Unnecessary since we have the original comic and the motion comic from 09. So long as it's a 1 to 1 translation that doesn't alter one word of Moores writing or one panel of gibbons art. No trying to tie it into the HBO sequel, doomsday clock, or the Tom king rorschach comic. Just tell watchmen as it was written and tye worst thing about this movie will be the fact that it's being released in 12 parts.

WondLa on Apple TV represents everything I hate about modern animation. A complete 100% enshittifcation of every possible aspect of the original work. The book has Tony DiTerlizzi's beautiful illustrations to base an adaptation off of and they go for Cocomelon-tier designs and animation. I think less of Tony for giving his amen to this by being an executive producer. Maybe it saved the story, but I'm not going to watch it to find out.

Stuff like this makes me believe in BNW-tier conditioning of children to feel affinity for advertising mascots like the obvious femoid google android blob that looks like one of those pop-up chatbots trying to sell me something.

Ninja'd on the racially diverse hockey team (bruv fr, it looked like every ethnic group had one player in a prep school junior high team but there was only one white girl in the team) but the movie itself is just... it felt like the same shit as the first one, except now Joy is right even when she is wrong. The new emotions have even less personality than the OGs. It's literally the same arc as the first movie but in reverse and with more useless characters. It mixes animation styles in the first fourth and then forgets it. Considering the fucking 10 trailers I had to sit through to watch it, the movie itself was good but just that.
