There's just something so comical about taking a generally contentious, if not outright hated character and pinning the destruction of the entire setting on her. I still don't really get why they'd officially cement her as the worst Avatar in history just because.

My only theory for why they'd even go for an apocalyptic route in the first place is that they realized how much they fucked up the aesthetic and story potential by making the setting 1920s america in Korra and decided they had to hard reboot it into simpler times in a way that keeps the previous events canon.

So to count, she looks like she's at MOST eight, she's disabled in a post apocalyptic setting, and she can't rely on any of the other avatars with the last one being an absolutely unprecedented fuck up at absolutely everything she ever did. (Then again, a metalbender using their own leg as a weapon would go nuts)

Maybe Disney should have allocated a better budget unless they thought that people would only watch it on the fact that is spiderman (which is true but holy shit that you can tell this was made on the cheap). Though I have hear that the only reason this new series is a thing is because Disney needed to do something in order to keep the tv rights of the character, which could make sense as to why they didn't want to waste that much money on it.
