Saw that film when I was 7 and never looked back!

This is REAL art!
As someone who fucking learned to read thanks to Astérix of Tintin, i would say the twelve tasks of Astérix is the God tier one, a must watch even if the English dub is a little iffy, but i'm used to the Swedish dubs. The Vikings is amazingly beautiful, but i'm a biased Norseman here, The Brittons is pretty cool too and a nice soundtrack, the CGI ones are well done too (they even kept the blackface pirate, which is a nice touch, he seems to be one of the smarter pirates so i don't really see the racism) but i could go without all the musical scores in the newest one, Cleopatra and the first one is something to watch after the best ones, the rest is "meh" unless you are turning to this big fan of course, the America one seems to be memoryholed and yeah, that one sucked, the official VHS release of all the films here in Scandiland excluded that one even.

There must be some i forgot, to be honest, i don't care about the real action ones but if someone would differ i'm easily changeable and might watch whatever is the best one, it was pretty cool for me that Zlatan is in the new one, is it any good?

The 1999 movie was the only good live action Asterix for me, although the Middle Kingdom was sort of okay

Look upon the latest Asterix projects and weep this isn't getting attention but sigh in relief that that's for the best if it's this good and should do without.
(this was a movie from 2018 )
I wouldn't weep. I'm pretty grateful it doesn't have the Smurf treatment it didn't deserved. Secret of the Magic Potion is pretty good for an original animated movie, really liked the fight scene where they stack up legionaries and turn them into a zord to fight the evil druid in a kaiju battle.

(this was a mini series from a couple months ago. I'm sharing the teaser not the trailer because it has that godawful "the trailer starts now" cocktease bullshit i cant stand in marketing.)
Is the mini series worth watching? I skipped the first episode because I really don't want to watch the titular characters as kids, it brings back the babyfication fatigue I had the previous decades.

The dragon prince was so shit.
It had a plot point so utterly bad it traumatized me. Like I got so pissed even now I can't let it go.
What is it? I watched some of the first season with my nephew because he liked it but I haven't heard about it in a while.

I do recall being annoyed that everyone criticized humans for using magic the only way they could which required sacrifice but the elves and dragons naturally had it leaving humans entirely at their mercy, and they weren't even vegetarian or pacifist as a counter balance. The only thing that made it tolerable was the magician was a fun- loving girl who wasn't "evil" or malicious.

Please share, dunking on the Dragon Prince is always appreciated.

The show's morality is fucking schizo.
In one episode, an elf is perfectly alright with using bugs as food (though she uses a spell to make them not look or taste like bugs), yet in another, the protagonist squishes a bug to use a dark magic spell and he gets on a dragon god's shitlist because of that singular bug.

So killing animals for food is a-ok for the elves and dragons, but using them in dark magic spells to feed an entire kingdom or heal someone's paraplegia (actual examples from the show BTW) isn't? The fuck? And this is far from being the only example of schizo morality, you've got others, like how every attempt by humans to defend their borders from invasions is treated as an unjustified act of aggression.

Pixar is in the “if you don’t watch our ugly GrubHub advert-looking toddler movie, you’re a JERK!” stage of melting down.

The official Pixar account has jumped on that trend, targeting those who complain about Disney not creating original stories in favor of live-action remakes or sequels.

Looking away and hiding her face, the influencer says, “Stop complaining that Disney doesn’t make original stories if you don’t show up to movie theaters and support them in the first place.”

Keep in mind Pixar was the company that once had most established film critics in the world eating out of their hands over the likes of Up and Wall-E and they sacrificed that to hire the same sort of Tumblr artists that helped kill the Cartoon Network.

"The popular new trend has TikTok users looking away from their cameras and spilling 'truths' that others may not want to hear."

Absolutely fucking retarded. Face the camera (even a 3/4 profile shot works) while you're talking, or else people will not take you seriously and will ignore you. "Influencers" deserve to be put up against the wall.

Me and my girl watched it all just recently, it had a lot of musical scores and typical Dreamworks "Random 80's and other cliché songs are cool to just put in movies, what? we have no training montage for Eye of the tiger? Well MAKE ONE!"

But it didn't ruin the series completely, it was a kind of merge of two or three albums i think, i must go through the comics again really soon, but both and my KF Waifu (Hi <3) chuckled a lot, it's like the other CGI ones, pretty well done, but i do miss the old animation style.

Funny nerdy tidbit - i was doing my "read all the comics chronologically" as i do almost yearly, and i went through The Mansion Of The Gods. and thought to myself; "A bloody shame they never made it to a movie!" and the day after i saw in the newspapers during work that they just released that one on the big screens, kind of weird, specially thinking about that was the first one in probably a decade, the animated ones felt dead in the water.
Tell you what, i will watch the first one with the lady, if it sucks, that means you suck

if sassy black women knew how much power they hold

they'd frop all this race shit, and focus entirely on shitting on Pixar's latest slop.
im 100% for black bitches stomping out the 2 hour Kids show essay faggots that would soft ball pixar shit movie. and make shit like: "how catdog changed my life (I am trans now)"

These black tiktokers would completely dominate the Video essay world over night.
a legion of fat, near diabatic black BITCHES, is how you stomp out all this gay shit.
if we have to pay them in EBT to make someone cry on youtube for my entertainment then so be it.

I want to see a EBT queen shit on something like undertale for like 20 minutes
and have her fighting in the comments about how toby will never be japanese, and all the gay kid furry shit is weird, so maybe japan should keep him anyway.

People are willing to support GOOD original stories, not reheated shit from 20 years ago.

There is a plot point where a side character is calling out the main villain for what he told them to do to the good guys. So the bad guy is Trapped a d needs to lie to this Character, that's not the problem, the problem is when the villain says" well uuuuuuuh.. see you were to fucking retarded to understand what I was asking you to do" and the third character in the scene is like "I mean you are a fucking retard so I don't trust your correct."
Holy shit

Nope. At best they're a redo of better works, at worst it has the usual Netflix drivel: A girl-character that stands out like a sore thumb (complete with unique jean-style pants because fuck having the self-insert in a skirt! At least she barely does much instead of dominating the plot), a nigress with afro shoved at gunpoint, the friendly druid that helped Panoramix is now a goth-style woman with the lesbian haircut, etc.

So killing animals for food is a-ok for the elves and dragons, but using them in dark magic spells to feed an entire kingdom or heal someone's paraplegia (actual examples from the show BTW) isn't? Hmm, I think I see the problem here.

There is a fart fetishist tranny elf who is in a romantic relationship with someone who tried to genocide HER entire race only a few years ago, a lesbian relationship between a human MUTE/DEAF GENERAL (fucking stupid) and a nigger elf queen who were trying to kill each other just a few years ago, and an adopted child queen mary sue of two (thankfully) dead lesbian queens (I do not know how any of that works either) in the later seasons. Its impressive how much worse an already bad show could get.
