Not sure if it should go there. I checked in with Space Battles to see what they thought of the Zootopia 2 trailer, expecting some embarrassing takes... And they are. I also discovered the word "copaganda".
How much brain-melted must you be to hate your only line of defense against murderous, armed perps that much? It explains many things about the animation industry if that's how Californians think.
Funnily enough, the one most vocal about copaganda was kicked out of the thread for being too autistic about it.

I have been sadly used to this because it’s taken off a LOT since the death of St. Floyd and has not calmed down. You have a cop or law enforcer character who’s not evil? You’ll get redditors, twitterites, and tumblrinas being like “Ew, copaganda, ACAB!” It very quickly became one of those words that tells me I can safely discard your opinion if you use it unironically. Because whoever uses it probably unironically thinks “black person who’s a criminal but for a good cause” is a great archetype.

Imo I think a larger theater release of Kpop Demon Hunter has a beneficial possibility for the movie, given the success of concert movies of actual Kpop artists. But i don't know the box office numbers of those or how well it would translate the streaming numbers into tickets.

It's like Robin Hood but retarded! That's why a Robin Hood esque black who's a poor imitation of the original AT BEST tends to be increasingly common. Although seeing that many people in the net with the same retarded takes and no one talking about the consequences of the no cops stuff still feels inane.

Thats like having Martin Scorsese to do a fucking MCU movie!

Apparently this is a passion project he had since 2009 and boy, it does seem like its a time capsule of the late 2000's comedy, the bad kind. Not only that but its coming out after people got generally fed up with the vulgar runchy adult comedy animation trend of the late 2010's.

Watch as companies will use this flop as an example as to why hand drawn animation will remain dead.

I think Genndy's weakest point always was when he tried to do deliberate adult content, rather than non-adult content with the occasional adult themes. He just comes off as a middleschooler that was finally able to draw BOOBIES now that his parents can't catch him in the act, which is tragically cringe at his big age.
