God bored and had an idea, which cartoon best represents a US state kiwis? I already put down a few off the top of my head.

(Yes this includes web animations like Madness Combat for Nevada).

Unfortunately, as someone originally from Delaware, Steven Universe is our most famous representation of all and I can see how Beach City was ripped off of based on Rehoboth Beach.

Guy who made cartoon about girls catching flak for laughing at how boys have absolutely nothing aimed at them. Just after he praised K-Pop Demon Hunters for reaching a female audience.

The Critic was set in Noo Yahk (New York, NY).
Pretty sure there was a known cartoon set in Pennsylvania, but which? For all ages, I mean.

Guy who made cartoon about girls
Amphibia's serious storytelling is pretty identical to a whole bunch of male-targeted pulp fantasy stories. It just happens to have a trio of girls as the leads rather than a fellowship of guys. And the super modes they get later aren't anything like magical girl transformations, they're just going Super Saiyan.
Then again cartoon fans these days seem to love writing off everything as a "girl show" if they have a female protagonist in any capacity. I don't know why they don't just watch the current output from the anime industry, that's a freakin' cesspool of straight male machismo where all women are treated as romantic options and all guys are treated as threats.

Was thinking of Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, and Kim Possible for California based off impressions alone, but someone call me out if they've got better options. Fuck it, Gumball for California since it's canonical. Regular Show and Close Enough as runner-ups since Quintel always has his shows set in California.

Megas XLR for New Jersey 104% with a 4% margin of error.
Always felt like Boondocks took place in Maryland, but it's not directly stated.
As for New York? There can be no other answer: TMNT. Sorry, even though I love The Critic to death, TMNT is just far more iconic.
Squidbillies takes place in Georgia.
Recess is set in Arkansas of all places.

That's all I've got in my head so far.

does louisiana really only have the princess and the frog as the best representation of the state

Apparently most of The Rescuers takes place in New Orleans, and there's also Scooby Doo on Zombie Island.

But yeah, no one wants to represent Louisiana outside of New Orleans lol.

All the stuff added so far, everything is subject to change so if anyone has better suggestions feel free to post it. I'll hold out on some entries and add them if no one else has other shows to represent it.

Doesn't Aqua Teen Hunger Force take place in Jersey? Definitely somewhere along the northeastern part of US, if not I'll put it wherever it is and Megas in Jersey.

I forgot about ATHF taking place in Jersey. Fuck it, although I eternally love Megas, ATHF simply is far more iconic. I'm down for you putting it over Megas to represent Jersey.

Apparently My Life as a Teenage Robot's city is somewhere near Omaha, Nebraska.

Phineas and Ferb is set in Danville, IL! They even mention Illinois in one of their songs:

This was the first damn thing that popped in my head, and I'm not entirely sure why. Everything about that show, including the theme song, just screams Jersey.

Garfield & Friends, I think, is set in Indiana. There's constant references to Muncie, since it's Jim Davis's hometown.

Found an old meme that unfortunately aged well with the whole Matt Braly thing!

I don’t know the context of the original scene, but imagine portraying yourself as a grown ass woman screaming at a confused little boy and thinking people would agree with you.
On a semi related note, I keep seeing some people be like “Ugh, are we really still complaining about She-Ra in 2025? Move on!” Are we just not allowed to criticize bad shows just because they’re older now?
