Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

New Chuck E. Cheese slop will be dropping this holiday. Going back their track record, what is the likelihood of the special being A.I.

Fucking Legolas needs to stop ruining the holidays. SMH

I was surprised at how much of the stuff at CEC was puppets over bad CG. Surprised they didn't keep that

I think I'll stick to the original, no matter how cheaply inanimate it is!

I am like a battered wife with spongebob, even though I know it hasn't been good in 20 years, I keep seeing new things and going "oh maybe they've turned it around".
Like apparently from what I've heard Patrick isn't nearly as insufferable as he used to be, and is going back to his laid back roots.

Also did you know Karl Hadrika storyboarded a bunch of spongebob episodes?
Maybe if the stars align we can finally fucking get Becky Prim animated (:_(

Blast from the past.
I'm 50-50 on it though. I loved the pilot but I'm not sure if it would work in this day and age.

One thing I wondered... what do these animators want? I do not know specifically wha 'these animators' actually are, but I know that some of the things they want are:
  • absolutely no AI
  • a 'living wage' in California
  • no utsourcing at all
  • absolutely no cancellations of animated works
  • automatic greenlighting of animated works
  • more diversity in animation
  • absolute preservation of animated material
  • let animation unions run everything
  • more advertising of animation?
I am definitely missing a lot of demands.

I mean those mostly seem pretty accurate. I don't think the "no cancellations" or "absolute greenlight" ones should be taken seriously, though, because there is so much bad and/or forgettable shit that's been foisted on Toonami because of stupid producers rubberstamping shit solely for the sake of Having New Streaming Shows.

The Owl House, Infinity Train, Final Space, Driftwood, Bee and Puppycat... whenever an imated series gets cancelled, animation stans get into a perpetual uproar.

you hear of animating "on the ones"?
these motherfuckers animating on the scientific notations
I get the impression this fancy computer system they had to use wasn't capable of rendering multiple frames per second for a shot and this was the result. Hanna-Barbera was the first to make "digital ink & paint" a thing in the 80's.

Enough doomposting. Found a really rare gem on YouTube that blends AdultSwim humor, 1980s retro-futuristic aesthetics, cyberpunk setting, 2D and 3D animation, and really fun action scenes. Made by ToadBurger (Ciaran Malik)

A Fox in Space

After years and years of doing backbreaking work, including learning blender to imitate his 70's animation style, the motherfucker finally managed to release his magnum opus part 2.

Matthew Gafford, the creator of the Star Fox fan series A Fox in Space, managed to cast FroggyFresh to play Faura's dad Perry (the new premier of Corneria) for his magnum opus episode 3. For Halloween, Gafford and his team released an animation demo of Perry rapping one of FroggyFresh's songs. Would be pretty interesting for FroggyFresh to give out a more serious tone for his voice acting. Gafford has also casted prominent YouTubers like Vinny Vinesauce and Jerma985 to do voice roles in Episode 2.
