Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

Honestly my only complaint was Marvin's complete absence, with this kind of plot you'd think he would have some kind of appearance.

Overall a great movie though, better than the early-00s live action flicks.

Wait, so what happened then? Was it just troll's remorse for the sake of "I am a reformed person" (really, they saw the winds changing and decided to say what people wanted to hear)?
Sometimes people can just change their attitudes with age and the zeitgeist. LK didn't seem like anything different from your usual normie otaku, and nowadays he still isn't any different apart from his aspirations to be a dub VA, and those people seem to all be unshakably progressive in their headspace. It's not like it was Troll's Remorse that drove JelloApocalypse to attack anything and anyone that wasn't a mirror image of his moral code.

Hbomberguy may be ex-Metokur, but really he just comes across as a contrarian having to juggle his really stupid habits (for example, saying Star Trek: Into Darkness is a commentary on racism and you're the real racist for criticizing it) with his responsibility as the most popular leftist on Youtube to not look like a loony. Which is how we get him dicksucking Monty Oum despite how he obviously hated the guy before he died and the Never Speak Ill Of The Dead clause came into effect.

I am not joking here: I actually feel relieved that Netflix bought Warner Bros. I may be running off Netflix's early innovations, but I do no trus the other companies that would have bought Warner Bros. Despite Netflix handling Bee and Puppycat very poorly, I am still incensed at how HBO Max handled Infinity Train... and all of its animation, actually. Hopefully, Netflix, even if out of desperation, plays all of Warner Bros' old animation library.
I wonder if this acquisition means that Netflix now has rights to playing Studio Ghibli films in the United States.

Honestly, the ideal situation is where none of those get these IPs and they fall into the public domain. There is no "good" option here, Paramount and Disney just happened to be the worse ones comparatively.

Nah, Netflix is the absolute worst outcome. At least Paramount seems somewhat committed to producing quality and keeping up theaters and television. Netflix is structurally different from WB and will certainly kill off shitloads of branches as they do not value anything beyond streaming. This will place further strain on the movie theaters and physical markets, both of which Netflix is 100% keen on killing.

In terms of quality, it will go to shit. Netflix 100% believes in passive viewing, forcing movies to have scripts where characters shout the plot because they view their audience as retards who cannot put down a phone. Not to mention, in terms of woke, Netflix is one of the worst and is heavily tied to the democrat party via their contracts with Black Jesus, Barrack Obama.

You all are delusional if you believe this is the best of the bad outcomes. WB is going to get turbo raped by the Netflix machine and the entire industry will plummet with it. No way in hell will Netflix freely allow for the classics either given their track record of pulling programming.

Guess its time to stack up on WB physical media when we still can, I guess.

After airing Cuties, you still think Netflix is a good choice? They'll make Teen Titans Go look like a good cartoon after the big N is done with Looney Tunes.

That's what pisses me off about these "public domain " horror movies based on toons once they enter the public domain. Why not other genres particularly ones that would fit these characters better? Think a Betty Boop movie that's like a neo noir throwback to films like Maltese falcon or white heat. I know Betty Boop cartoons had a lot of dark and surreal imagery (just look at Minnie the moocher or the Betty boop snow white) but so did a lot of golden age and rubberhose era animation.

Because horror fans are brain damaged retards.

I got around to finishing Archer not too long ago and I felt the series finale to be underwhelming and anticlimactic. The season that ended with Malory's final appearance because her voice actor died felt more like a proper conclusion to the series.

I posted a link a little back but it wasn't very noticeable so I'm reporting it here.
It's kino btw.

Just be careful with them warner home video dvd's. They got a bad case of disk rot.
(If your wondering why the third video has doctor who, warner used to distribute bbc shows like doctor who and others in the us after 2000)
