At least for me it's easy to get the impression that there's somehow no new 'toons airing on Western TV. Like it all moved to online stuff, and it is just crap like "Bluey"?

(the days of Saturday morning cartoons seem to be long gone)

The official trailer for that Animal Farm remake starring Seth Rogan dropped…
For me, reading this when I was younger, the death of the horse character was particularly brutal. If this rendition of the story is going to take a "actually the REAL enemy is capitalism" approach then what the fuck are they going to do with the horse? If i'm remembering correctly the horse was a representation of the worker/working class and the message was that under a communist system all your labor and all your life will be meaningless in the end. There will be no thanks, no congratulations, the system will eat you up and even your broken old body will be extracted of all possible value. How will they twist that?
I could be misremembering but I'm just really blown away at how retarded this is.

Reminds me of how the first adaptation ended with the animals rising up against the pigs because the CIA funded the movie and needed to show the Commies being defeated.

Olive, The Other Reindeer
I forget, was "put a 2d standup in a 3d environment" much of a thing in 1999? Parrappa had been out for a bit

Well children don’t watch television at all these days. They’re all on YouTube watching Spider-man mpreg.

And seizure-inducing "CoComelon" for educational TV.

Heard some more about that "CoComelon" crap. Research showed that the over-saturated colors can "overwhelm a developing child's brain", the songs are repetitive and there is too many high pitched noises, and there is a constant and nauseating change of view every 1-3 seconds. It can actually impair a kids' ability to learn to talk. Sesame Street looks like Masterpiece Theater compared to "CoComelon" of Current Year. And "CoComelon" took off during during the coof with "face masks" which made child development worse.

I don't know where else to put this, but I found this fascinating. She's age a ton, but still... I had an ex that looked a bit like her back in the day and I can see how it would've been. Just her eyes are a bit out there.

Looking back at her tweets, she seems enthusiastic about it all. Well, I gave up like everyone around the 1st movie and season 12 or so. But good for her.
