Still no better example of living in a society™️ 🤡 than when Apple bought out the Peanuts movies so they'd be "exclusive content" on their streaming service, and that they no longer be played on public access TV for families to see for the holidays.

At least we still have The Grinch I guess 🤷

Sorry for de-esculating the seuss talk. I found this, the last part of the merrie history of looney tunes came out yesterday. This series from a vintage anime reviewer called kaizerbeamz on youtube has documented the entirety of looney tunes media from the early days of the 1930s to today, parts 1-7 are almost a hour long per video while the latest 8th part is almost 3½ hours long covering the 70s to now. Idk has anyone else here watched this documentary
(of course he puts lola bunny in the thumbnail, sheesh)

There's actually a really nice fan made storyboard for this song too.
I kind of love the idea that the Lorax is haunting the Onceler like a ghost, appearing in mirrors and following him everywhere, even standing in front of him when he goes to flip the switch for Thneedville as if daring him to cross, giving him that one last chance to make the right decision. In another universe, there's an oscar-worthy version of the Lorax where Biggering is the big Onceler song before the fall of his business. Maybe even O'Hare would echo it himself when he's trying to hunt down Ted and destroy the last Truffula seed, and that's when he gets hoisted by his own petard

help this makes me want to rewrite the fucking Lorax of all things

The disgruntlement is that "of course he'd put tits in the thumbnail".
Actually, the proper term is "bunny boobies".

Technically there is a fourth option which barely anyone does. Its called owning some of the specials on physical media.

(authough i do understand most people nowadays don't own a blu-ray player let alone a dvd player or a vcr, and thats not also counting on prices for certain specials on certain formats and dealing with their certain problems [vhs and its deterioration per viewing, dvd's with the disc rot especially since at the time warner bros distributed most peanuts specials on dvd and blu-ray being at least slightly better on that end].)

But yeah I agree more with the third option of yo ho ho'ing their media and originally sticking it to apple authough with the sony purchase, im hoping they end up putting the specials back on tv (call me optimistic) or maybe sony can make an actual streaming service that was better than crackle (if anyone remembered crackle that is?)

I dont like most iterations of lola, the only one I tolerated was the looney tunes show version and even then its was because they actually made her a actual character and not a girl boss power fantasy character.

"LUL SO QUIRKY, RANDOM, AND AWKWARD" is not anymore of a character than "OP girlboss" is. The perfect Lola would be a happy medium in-between the two. Something like this:

You can buy collections of the peanuts holiday specials on DVD and Blu Ray at Barnes and Noble or on Amazon. Yes there is also the high seas.

Sorry, I meant to imply that physical media was the other option other than streaming and piracy.

Also doesn't Bugs still make a crossdressing joke in Space Jam?

It's been ages since I've seen Space Jam but I don't think there is that joke in the movie. Maybe you are misremembering it with "Looney Tunes: Back In Action" where the joke is ironically self referential about its inadequacy in "current year 2003".

Also why I call it a failed attempt because years later the writers of "The Looney Tunes Show" doubled-down on that trope with a vengeance.

Screenshot 2025-12-30 132442.png The newest PBS kids show looks abit racist, just look at the character designs. This is the same channel that has a thing for virtue signaling and all, but you can't tell me the designs on the darker-skinned characters look stereotypical otherwise its just a new slice of life show about kids navigating through life as if we needed to see any more of those.

Have you seen modern pbs kids shows let alone any pre-schooler to intermediate school programming nowadays, they all pander to minorities be it towards niggers, mexicans asians or gays, lesbians, and sometimes troons

"How Bad Can I Be" still slaps, but man.

Although The Once-ler fandom only came to be because of that, so I dunno what "Biggering" would've brought out...
I’m now remembering listening to an actually pretty good mashup of the two songs.
Seuss talk aside, remember when I brought up that upcoming movie that paints Cinderella’s stepsisters as good and misunderstood? Guess what, it’s another fucking therapy session for the writers.
