If the leaked script is followed instead of slashing half of it like in Zootopia 2, the Acme movie might be mediocre at worst. It may or may not bomb, but I find it difficult to be worse than the Rescue Rangers one, which felt like self-promotion for a lot of works that thankfully didn't happen. Like the grimderp Darkwing Duck reboot. *shudders*

Been reading this. Pure awesome-sauce, and it justifies the dark age of comicbook heroes by stating that an evil entity from another dimension began increasing the darkness inside people, showing how kill-happy heroes and villains cause lots of collateral damage and kill third parties (intentionally or not).
The bad stuff ends when the local equivalent to Superman shows up for the first time, funnily enough.

Holy shit, this is bad. Really, really bad. The line art, color scheme and anatomy, even for a sketch, are hideous and reveals a lack of experience in the field. I have seen teen girls do better character sheets than this. The designs are all over the place as well, very unappealing. You have to shlick off to the ugliest 2016 Tumblr porn non-stop for ten years to have such a poor taste in visual media.

How this faghag got a shot for her own cartoon at all? It's obviously some sort nepotism thing involved, but I am still baffled. The creature didn't get bullied enough for her rupaul drag race obsession.

Overall the pilot fails at almost all fields:
1) animation is choppy and very headache inducing
2) characters are butt-ugly and their designs are rather used to shill the author's gay fetish agenda.
3) the premise itself fails to prove itself engaging and literally no kid would be interested in such retarded concept as the wacky "ice cream truck workers doing their hecking slice of life with some random hellspawn monsters involved without explanation". You don't understand the universe, and thus feel very out of action and whatever happens on screen. The characters go to the freezer to get some ice cream, but suddenly it turns into a cemetery in a city? And then when they run it again transforms to a big room? Consistency is yet another bigotted term we need to subvert.
4) humour is shit. "Do a stupid animu face and give out a depricating millennial quip". Girl, I can tell with 100% certainty that nobody in your circle probably finds you that particularly funny either.
5) Author is the Dana "satanism is good actually, kiddos!" Terrace kind of subversive which should be it's own overdone trope for using which you get a stone to the face.

The only reason I am not really MATI about this is because anyone can tell that this "pilot" will never, ever get greenlit :)

How this short managed to combine all the worst aspects of current animation baffles me.

1. It fails as a pilot, not because of the art style (as unappealing as it is) but because it doesn't even really have a premise, just a concept (quirky wage cucks selling ice cream). The only thing to a premise I can get from it is that a trio of demons(?) or humans working for a demonic ice cream business in what I'm also guessing is some kind of saccharine hellscape dimension.

2. The characters don't actually feel like characters, just props that get flailed around like dolls just to get from point A to point B without any engaging or remarkable traits to their personalities. They feel more like characters that just exist for the sake of fan service by how little of character they have.

3.Their designs, oh my god. The "man" in the group is the most unappealing one, even in terms of "PC" character design. His head just looks wrong on the body he has, and what the fuck is up with his face? Not to mention how fucked the characters look when they do different perspective shots, and phoning in all the dumb animu kawaii stuff to make it appear "cute", just does the opposite effect.

I don't see what you guys are saying about the storyboard being better.
The final one has the colors actually contrasting with the scene provided and match.. The storyboard one looks completely out of place. I like how the "3d" one despite being a 3d model is able to look like a 2d drawing. thats pretty creative.

As for what the acutal movie is going to be. Im sure it will be a "Decent" movie.
