You know the parents don't do that, the type of people who have cocomelon kids just shove an iPad or kindle fire in front of their child whilst they contemplate on why they had kids or something. The modern iPad kid probably wouldn't be thrilled by classic cartoons sadly. Give the piglet its slop and it'll consume.
those kids were fucked to begin with then
the problem is adults don't care about raising their own children

Might have a hunch as to why that is..

For more context, CN really didn't do originals till Dexter's Lab, which came out after Ren & Stimpy ended in April 1996. They had a few stranglers like The Moxy Show, but Ted was pretty anal about it being a network for classic cartoons till Space Ghost opened the flood gate a little.
Right, CN wasn’t around when Ren & Stimpy was conceived. My bad. I found the cartoon okay.

I’m surprised Ren & Stimpy was never pitched to Cartoon Network.

Might have a hunch as to why that is..

What I want to know why wasn't it on MTV when they started adding animation on their programming like Liquid Television. And if John K complained about getting fired why didn't he move to Cartoon Network?(I'm certain they'd give him a worse time)

Looking it up, it was aired on MTV, some episodes even premiered on the channel for being deemed too offensive for Nickelodeon. From Google AI:
  • The Series Finale: The final episode of the show, "Sammy and Me / The Last Temptation," was deemed too intense for Nickelodeon and officially premiered on MTV on October 20, 1996.
  • "Son of Stimpy": This episode also received its broadcast premiere on MTV a few years prior on January 13, 1993, before airing in a censored form on Nickelodeon later that year.

As for John K, the man had a piss-poor reputation as a perfectionist that could never complete an episode (amongst other things like abuse allegations and potential pedophilia). MTV likely wouldn’t hire him seeing as he blew it with the sister company.
Also, given the ticking-time-bomb nature of K and his inability to complete things, Ren & Stimpy quickly fell apart in ratings as other shows actually had new content. He was surpassed by Rugrats fast, along with a host of other Nick shows, making it not worth the hassle.

As for Cartoon Network, as stated above, they weren’t really doing originals till 1996 with Dexter. He would have had to go to FOX or another smaller channel if not Nick. Obviously Disney would be out of the question.

I always get this feeling if he worked for Adult Swim and blew it like he did with Nick, and blames CN and Adult Swim for it, every Adult Swim bumper after his firing would have phrases and quips taking potshots against him and his fans. Something like this:

The pilot of a 2000's inspired show (it feels nickelodeon inspired) was uploaded to youtube 2 days ago.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=4niV7OYZXYEIt seems alright, its better then most of the trannimations that get pumped out. I don't know much about the creator.
I wouldn't say the aesthetics were fully replicated. As I was watching, I could feel something being very off. Too smooth, the lines get too thin at times. It's the kind of waifu cartoon that is not really up my alley.

Also I have hunch that maybe one of the animators for this does porn. Idk. In many shots the creator objectifies the waifu, he no doubt, spend years on perfecting and jacking off to. She looks like a typical twitter artist oc with a light fleur of "early 2000s cartoon inspired" to her

There's nothing on the creator's Newgrounds that's pornographic. I don't care enough to try digging deeper.

:optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:
I mean, if you really, really want to believe this instead of the guy being not completely braindead and keeping a separate account for his older coomer newgrounds stuff, then be my guest.
Sure, that is probably the case. But I genuinely don't care enough to dig into it.

John K has a thread here, I just remembered. Anyway, John K is practically blacklisted from the industry for obvious reasons. Well, in his words, he “retired.”
John K retired like Epstein commited suicide. That being said, his old blog used to be a good resource to learn about animation as long as you were willing to wade through all the petty sniping aimed at basically everybody working in animation that wasn't named Clampett.

wouldn't be surprising. every artist is a huge pervert, regardless of what they put out for public viewing.

Not sure what to think about this. It looks like an overproduced wakfu version of mario strikers.

It's getting put on Disney XD which to me says they sank too much money into it and are just dumping it out to write it off. Shame.

Clampett reportedly had an ego as well. Chief among them was a rivalry between him and Chuck Jones™️. Yes, the man trademarked his own name. Anyway, Clampett proclaimed himself as the sole creator of Bugs Bunny, despite Bugs Bunny having been evolved from various shorts contributed by various directors like Avery, Jones’s, McKinson and Clampett. Technically, Tex Avery “created” Bugs Bunny since A Wild Hare was directed by him with Bugs Bunny’s iconic design.

I was about to say, it's fairly appropriate that he'd latch onto somebody with his own pile of drama
