I think there is a point to be made. I hate the terminology people use nowadays but "safe horny" comes to mind. Or the idea that you are only allowed to find attractive what THEY want you to find attractive. It's why people got angry at Stellar Blade because the protagonist is sexy in a way they don't approve.
Another thing is how has been leaked that Kit is a lesbian, which is another way to say "girls are only allowed to be hot when they are gay". It's also a good tell that the author thinks "she is MY waifu and I don't want anyone else depict her getting railed", not that it's going to work given how much art she already has.

She even did that "boo-boop-a-doop" thing. Betty was a cartoon dog and Bimbo's girlfriend (Bimbo, the Fleischer dog) and she was a reference to Baby Esther. Eventually Betty's ears became earrings, she got way more popular than Bimbo, and became her own thing. So TECHNICALLY one could argue that Betty Boop has always been black, or at least inspired by black people, so this is a "return to form" or whatever, but to that I say this is what Betty Boop looked like the first time she was in color: another ginger being blackwashed
