Oy vey goyim you must bow down to the creature of the Sahel and commit bestiality with it or else you are a racist!
Gotta love how the world's living descendants of actual goblins are trying to worship and prop up the violent monkey people who will happily pummel their brains in and or pop pistol bullets in them at a momments notice.

Reminds me of a tom Metzger drawing where some jewboy who spent his life fighting for civil rights ended up in hell only to have the niggas he spent his life "defending " ready to beat the shit out of him for all eternity.

Can we go back to talking about cartoons though? As amusing as all this talk of racial truths has been.

I miss tom Kane already.

Today I learned that Penguins of Madagascar joined the list of stuff that got a stupid revival pitch.

It redesigned everyone and was going to look 2D because everything has to do that now no matter what.

Then we've got some information on how they planned to handle old characters and new ones.

We all know that literally every single thing made before current year was offensive somehow so let's make a game of it: can you guess what was offensive about the original Penguins of Madagascar?

The answer is: not enough girl bossing!
As much as I love the original show, it is undoubtedly very male centric, so one of our goals was to really highlight Marlene. She is just as competent as the Penguins (maybe even more so), and could be part of their unit if she wanted, but instead she would rather do her own thing. She has three episodes highly focused on her, one where she hosts a disastrous film festival with Kowalski, one where she has to save the Penguins’ butts on a mission gone wrong, and our season finale where she has to team up with Skipper to help save New York (and maybe the world).

More action focused, less lemurs but still there, a new Japanese female character, Hans the puffin is "a total diva" and obsessed with lattes, Dr. Blowhole is there and only known to Kowalski who's being manipulated by him the whole time, a bunch of sea lions trying to get the people out of San Franciso (no please we need them contained).

Some of the central cast for our Penguins of Madagascar reboot pitch, we got plenty of returning faces and some new ones.Stylistically we envisioned the show as 2d animated with clean, lineless, characters, similar to the style of the Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show and Carmen Sandiego, while also taking influence from some of the old Penguins comics.
The Penguins look mostly the same, with the exception of their flippers, which now include a more realistic white underside. This choice was encouraged by a friend of mine who helped with the design process as it gave them a more unique flare, and would help make the flippers stand out due to the lack of lines. The lemurs reprise their roles from the 2008 series, being the Penguin's pesky neighbors. Our show was more action focused then the original, so the lemurs played more second fiddle to the Penguins, but our season pitch still had several Julien focused episodes, and one Maurice heavy one.

We of course got Hans, an old rival of Skipper who goes way back with him. Hans is a total diva and only has one goal in mind, being Skipper’s arch enemy. And funding his expensive taste in lattes.
A new character is Yuki. Neighbor to the Penguins, she is a talented and hardworking Japanese crane working remotely for the tech company Toggle. No one knows she’s really a bird and when she is asked to come to San Francisco in person to accept a big promotion, she must enlist the help of the Penguins to conceal her true avian identity.
Ah, Dr. Blowhole, Skipper’s arch enemy. Our show was pitched as a spiritual successor to the original Nick series, and not a direct sequel. One of the changes is that the other Penguins don’t know who Blowhole is. This allows the dastardly dolphin to manipulate a certain egghead Penguin to do his bidding, culminating in an explosive and grand season finale. When we pitched we were very open to any changes DreamWorks might want to make, but our one hill to die on was that Dr. Blowhole stays.
And lastly we got Nicolas, Catilina, and Miguel. Originally envisioned as henchmen to Blowhole, these three took on a life of their own. After being priced out of their beach in San Francisco, these dastardly Sea Lions come back for revenge, using sea mines to destroy the Golden Gate Bridge and hopefully make the city undesirable to those pesky humans.

Have you ever thought to yourself that Dreamworks animated works need more anime body pillows? No? Well I got bad news.

Here's the source not sure how to archive it but I included all the text. It has more concept art.

Some of the episode ideas sound good, but I just don't have an open mind anymore. Too many red flags. The original show had some very on the nose topical stuff so it's not necessarily bad to be going on about lattes and getting priced out of places, but it's the 2020s and everything is always handled in the worst way possible. To say nothing of the dumb art style switch. I'm glad it didn't get off the ground.

And complaining that it was too male centric and trying to elevate the one girl really ticks me off. The show only had the cast it did because it was filled with characters that already proved to be popular in the movies, and the penguins' gimmick is being ridiculously competent despite being a bunch of weirdos. What do we as the audience get from adding in oh but their random otter neighbor who isn't a commando is actually better than them? Them being outdone to drive conflict is fine but a reoccurring friendly character that exists alongside them that's on their level or even better? Does that not just diminish them, the actual stars, and their main gimmick? For no reason? Maybe there's a reason there wasn't already a character like that in the show?

Ffs first jellystone now this? The retards writing these joke are aware those pillows are the 21st century version of blow up dolls right? Even if you can get them in sfw version wearing clothes.

They just transfered over a running gag from the original show where Rico had this Barbie like doll he lovingly took care of despite being the crazy one of the group.
Other than Marlene nothing in the pitch sounds overly disrespectful to the original but it ultimately still would've been an unneeded reboot.

just wanna say this before the inevitable Twitter argument happens, to prove that I know this already and thus am smarter than everybody (/sneed), Betty Boop was inspired by Baby Esther (Esther Jones) who was black.

She even did that "boo-boop-a-doop" thing. Betty was a cartoon dog and Bimbo's girlfriend (Bimbo, the Fleischer dog) and she was a reference to Baby Esther. Eventually Betty's ears became earrings, she got way more popular than Bimbo, and became her own thing. So TECHNICALLY one could argue that Betty Boop has always been black, or at least inspired by black people, so this is a "return to form" or whatever, but to that I say this is what Betty Boop looked like the first time she was in color:

I looked into this a few years ago and those notorious pictures of "Baby Esther" are of a white woman doing a Betty Boop inspired photoshoot. A Redditor broke it down pretty well here.
And this blogger compiled a lot of information on Esther Jones, the black child star who Helen Kane allegedly stole her act from.
PBS actually issued a correction after they claimed the photos of the model were of Baby Esther.
The model's even got an entry on the Betty Boop fan wiki.
TL;DR this is actually Baby Esther Jones in 1929, who everyone claims is the inspiration for Betty Boop. Betty Boop, debuting in 1930, is obviously not based on her.

This episode of TTL also suggests the Ice Age(plus sitcoms) did the dinosaurs in. Why don't no one talk about this like they talk about Dinosaurs' ending?
Also, Hurting. When. Stop.
