yep that totally looks like a characters going to be on the main cast, She will diffidently not end up a one off once the episode's over. She will remain reverent forever and NOT forgotten when the next episode broadcasts.

I assume she'll die on the way back to her home planet in the next episode.

This looks really similar to that Easter Bunny movie Illumination put out a few years back.
Yep (that was "Hop"), and probably a few other films that involve intrusive animals and bumbling humans trying to eradicate 'em. They'll probably give Peter a "Gotta Believe in Yourself" trope as well, nothing like the original tale meant to remind children not to invade other people's property.

I mean really, I wish this didn't happen at all but apparently they still don't get it.

Beatrix Potter has got to be rolling in her grave.

Then again, maybe not. Who knows if she wouldn't be against Peter Rabbit and his animal chums throwing wild parties in Mr. MacGregor's house?

(The official synopsis describes this as an "irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude"... They're not trying to hide how much this sucks, are they?)

Nope. It just feels like it could've been it's own original thing and not be saddled with the Beatrix Potter namesake.

The only thing I kinda dig is how well we're getting these anthro elements into CG animals these days. We've certainly grown pretty fast from the days when a film like this would not even been attempted, I guess. Though I'm sure they'll be some toilet humor abound, can't go without that nowadays.

That description is le Dreamworks face in text form.
Someone has to copycat.

I will say one thing I did kinda like to see is that notion of wanting to see a world in a live-action film where animals simply were on the same sentient level as humans are, and there's that cohabitation and acknowledgement that this is a normal part of life in the story. I suppose I take inspiration from Kenneth Grahame's The Wind In The Willows in that respect, and I would love to see a film adaptation done in a manner similar to what they're doing with Peter Rabbit, but obviously keep it within its time period and not the modern/present day approach they would surely go for.
