Yeah I guess what I meant to say but couldn't without sounding like a sperg is...it's schlocky, cheesey overly violent and a little on the preachy side but that's why I love it and can't stop watching. Though yeah even as someone not too familiar with the series move away from 3. Uk what would be a good game to draw from? Bloodlines.
 
2020 may suck in places but it's been good for Genndy Tartakovsky.

Not only has his Popeye movie resumed production, but now Primal is coming back on October 4th and Season 2 is in the works! On top of that, the Samurai Jack video game has gotten great reviews.

I'm mixed on a season 2. I assumed it was a small project Genndy was doing to blow off steam after Sony's treatment of him. And there's no merchandise either which signals a company's lack of faith in a project.

I think it's more adult swim isn't as big on pushing merch as cartoon network is. Keep in mind CNS toyline policy is so backwards and shamless it's making the toy based cartoons of the 80s blush. True rick and morty even before the pickle rick debacle was pushing out funko's and tee shirts left and right, but mostly because stoners and tards were demanding it. Is there really a big demand for pops of fang and spear? Or shirts with a cavemen covered head to toe in blood on them...(even though that last one would be pretty kick ass)

Wasn't that just the writer of the god awful batgirl comics exaggerating or saying that though? Sure these days even false accusations can do serious damage but if they turn out to be just that false wouldn't the studio let him back to save face? Albeit under watch just in case.
Edit I looked into it and while what we have seems skeevy at times I call bs on everything these bitches are throwing at him. They sound at most like flirtatious remarks or jokes and seem taken out of context to see if they were consensual or not. Because yeah consent matters...if you're a straight white man that is, when the voice and puppeteer of Elmo and director Bryan Singer were faced with these same accusations since those cases involved a male on male defendant and plantiff suddenly we need to believe claims the relationship was consensual.

From what I've seen Ellis didn't do anything scummy or illegal he just had game, but bitches be mad. The twittercourt has made it's judgement though, then again as with most twitter related things everyone was mad for 2 days then nobody cared, so we'll see how S04 turns out. Screenrant has an article that Netflix might drop Ellis after S04 but Screenrant is a clickbait site so take their word with a massive grain of salt.

If they do drop him and the quality and ratings of whatever a hypothetical season 5 drops the only option will be beg ellis to come back (which he shouldn't just to say serves you right) or it'll mean so long castlevania was a nice ride while it lasted and better than gated to a life of pachinko and slot machines

AT should be a cautionary tale on how lore and shipping and melodramatic bullshit can kill something that could have been on the level of P&F or spongebob.

I would say it's more a lesson in try not having an identity crisis when your cartoon falls ass-backwards into success. It tried being more than "wacky adventures with occasional arcs" by trying to be pseudo deep and humanist halfway through. It also spawned the ever-annoying critical thinkers that made fandoms unbearable.

At the end of the day, AT did its job of restoring cartoons to the Cartoon Network. However when compared to Regular Show that aired at the same time, RS is more watchable by how you can pick it up anywhere and not miss much until the last two seasons. And I see way more RS memes to this day than AT who only has...bacon pancakes????

I would go in depth on this but @Yamma Damma already made a pretty good write up.
What started as a fun little cartoon ended up going way up it’s ass and started some of the worst aspects of modern animation. Eventually people got sick of the Chris Carter bullshit and left for greener pastures.

I blame su and it's "queer undertones." Along with the fact that it developed an over arching serialized format being why at ended up the way it did. Especially the marceline bubble gum kiss at the end, oh all the space rocks in su are gay? Well the main character's love interest and the vampire girl are dykes too!
