What are some celebrities/ public figures that you think probably would've soured had they not died when they did?

Jim Morrison would make RATM sound like Johnny Rebel.
Jeff Buckley would have either thrown away all his artistic integrity a la John Mayer or Adam Levine, or become an unwanted "social commentarist" high on his own farts like Morrissey.
Frank Zappa would have contracted such a severe case of TDS, he would have a total organism shutdown.
Cliff Burton would have let his So-Cal/Scandinavian tendencies get the best of him and turn Metallica into a full-on leftist outlet. And for better or worse, we'd never have any of their output from the Black Album onwards.
Bill Hicks would be doing Russell Brand's schtick.
River Phoenix would be doing Jared Leto's schtick.
James Hunt would run his mouth so much, he'd burn all the goodwill he might have had with anyone and become virtually unemployable.

Jim Henson is the first person who comes to mind for me
Something tells me he'd turn his attention to adult-oriented satire with the subtlety of a hammer to the face. Something like a US version of Spitting Image.

I can't help but wonder how Princess Diana would have used Twitter if she was still around.
Imagine Harry and Meghan's antics turned to eleven, complete with the media downplaying any rough edge.

Why do you keep saying Michael Jackson? After he got outed as a pedo it's not like he had any good reputation left to ruin.
Most people were iffy on him being a pedo or not (he was.) His funeral was televised to like hundreds of millions of households. If he had gone full blown Kanye near the end of his career it would have been a complete disaster for his legacy. Maybe molest kids? Unless there's a conviction ost people won't remember. Commit a racism in public? By God, run for your lives!

Heath Ledger was going to be typecast as The Joker for the rest of his life. We would have probably gotten a Joker franchise much earlier. The whole DC vs Marvel dynamic changes significantly, and probably the The Dark Knight series continues on after 2012, but with a new director, because Nolan would have been tired of that shit.

I would have picked John Lennon as being more likely to go down that path than Kurt Cobain.
John Lennon was already that way when he was alive. What are you talking about? The reason that nut shot him is because he wouldn't stop saying stupid shit. He was like an innovator for dumb commie left wing celebrities.

It was alwasy going to be a trilogy I think. He would have been in one more movie probably.

Ayrton Senna would be seen more as yet another old cranky figure of the F1 paddock who'd get into a social media incident roughly every 6 months. Most likely, he'd be still be better regarded than Nelson Piquet but he'd still draw the ire of non-Brazilians with some hot take about how F1 needs grid girls back or something. Still, at least his planned tribute to Ratzenberger would be remembered fondly.

I swear I just was thinking about this the other day in regards to Hitchens and Cobain and a few others. Another one I thought of was Patrice O'Neal. I was never a super fan of him or Burr but I did like their stuff back in the day, and I think Patrice would have totally leaned into the BLM SJW-shit just to grift like everyone else, and he would've denounced his old fanbase as the others did. As much as I don't want to think that, I'm almost positive that's exactly what would have happened.

Internet celebrity, but a pretty obvious one is Total Biscuit.

He was heel turning hard to appease the game journos and trannies who danced on his grave before his body even left the hospital bed and throwing his fans who formed the core of his defense for months to the wolves once he was nearing his end. Then we have all the shit about how autistic and buttmad (yes it was intended) he got behind closed doors about even the most minor of critiques of his character and how irresponsibly he handled his money leaving his family with pretty much nothing after his death.
He was already going that direction shortly before his death. He shit on his wife on Twitter because she didnt vote for Hillary back when Trump won in 2016.
Agree on Hitchens. He was pro-war, anti-white, anti-anything good back then. Goodness knows what he'd be throwing his weight behind these days.
I dont think hed align with the SJWs. He was too critical of feminist and islam.
George Carlin is someone who I think would've had a 50/50 shot of going in one of two directions. Either he'd go full anti-woke or he would've just wound up as a slightly spicier Bill Maher where he's against the wokesters but still thinks that the mainstream left can be salvaged.
IMO Carlin would have gone solid left, basically a funnier current day Bill Maher.

David Foster Wallace would have either gone the John Green way and become a palatable know-it-all, or become a more popular version of Slavoj Zizek.

She'd be the white Megan Markle. Prince Harry got his taste in women from somewhere. She'd also still be a whore, but I repeat myself.

"Time's Roger Rosenblatt foresaw a future Diana basking in serenity, 'the King's mother... the hair whiter, the skin a bit more lined,' but it is impossible to visualize her aging gracefully. If you think the funeral coverage was excessive, imagine forty years of tummy tucks, skin peelings, the first face lift ('The New Di!'), the first nervous breakdown, the menopausal spiritual trek to Tibet ('At last I've found peace'), the second face lift, the 'Hairdresser Plot,' two more nervous breakdowns, the lawsuit over the third face lift, the disappearance from the Swiss sanitarium, and the amnesia attack ('I adore Spokane'), I foresaw her marrying Dodi Fayed ('At last I've found true love') and producing a son. Women and their he-hen accomplices would get so caught up in tremulous analyses of What This Baby Means that they would miss the one thing it actually did mean: a pretender to the throne. Trouble for the monarchy, yes, but a dream come true for the London bag lady who told CNN that she came to Diana's funeral because 'I just want a bit of 'istory.' 'Ere it is, ducks: Bonnie Prince Mohammed.'" -- Florence King

James Dean, Marilyn Monroe.

Anyone think there's some different timeline where Marlon Brando died young and at his peak and became an icon and James Dean became old man who looked like this?

Chris Farley would have jumped on the woke bandwagon. Why? Because he was friends with Sarah Silverman and towards the end of his life/career, he was beginning to adopt a proto-fatphobia belief. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've also watched the documentary "I Am Chris Farley" and read some biographies about him. He really seemed susceptible to wokeness.
