What are some of the BAD things that are because of the Corona Virus?

For over a year now, I've been in charge of an industrial project that ultimately got indefinitely postponed due to the local shutdown. I had already committed $20k of company funds into the project, and there's another $15k up in the air because of this postponement. I'm somewhat optimistic about my odds of salvaging it. I think it can still be done, but I won't be able to utilize any of the in-house labor and engineering expertise that I was counting on due to staff layoffs/furloughs. I'll have to bring in an outside contractor to finish the job, which isn't a terrible thing, but my in-house team knew the ins and outs of the project, and an outside team would have to play a lot of catch up in addition to being more expensive and taking longer.

Also I only just found out that someone at work has a crush on me, but since 2 weeks ago, everybody has been sent home except for me. So not only am I working alone, but I also have to pick up the slack caused by no one else being able to go in.

I haven't been there in forever. I remember when I was much younger, it was outrageously cheap, something like $5. For sure it wasn't fancy fare, but they had a very good range of varieties in the buffet. In particular, I liked any variety of spinach-alfredo pizza they had. And that apple-strudel type pizza dessert they had was something I've not seen anywhere else.

This is also meant to be a thread for lesser-thought-of consequences, though, like stuff that's not just "people died" or "muh economy."

Cici's is also an unfortunate casualty for me, but not near as significant as KFC since their pizza is shitty. It's a novelty restaurant, to me.

what's bad for a few million people is almost always good for even more millions of people. people dying means property will become more affordable and there will be fewer homeless. the stock market crashing means a few thousand rich people will have to downgrade to only having one mansion instead of five mansions and millions of people can buy the dip and make some money. the more jobs that are lost, the closer we get to UBI, the end of wageslavery forever. corona-chan did nothing wrong.

I'm bored as fuck. I'm thankful I still work, but at this point I'd rather go back to the office. At least I'd have other people to talk with. Going to the store sucks because it's like a scene from Night of the Living Boomers. I'd rather go to a bar with friends and play some pool than sit around one of our houses. It would be nice being able to go to a sit down restaurant once again. Just tired of feeling cooped up at home constantly like a NEET.

A family member (Doctor, leftist asian female) has been fighting with leftist colleagues/others about Wuflu.
Any information she presents to them gets shot down in a hail of "But socialism" or "China is the good guy" or "Your opinion isn't important" or "Asians are liars". All white, progressive males. Only white, male progressives.

She has learned that her place on the progressive stack is down the bottom, because it doesn't matter what color or sex you are, if you don't agree with them, you're nothing.

This may sound good, but it's actually bad, because I have to hear about it and I find it irritating.
She keeps s/s shit to show me what they're saying every two seconds.
She's surprised rich, anti-racism, white male feminists are violent assholes prone to threats. I don't understand how she can be shocked. But she's an idiot to think she was safe in the first place.

She was heavy on the #metoo feminist shit too. She's having a breakdown now over it all. Seems middle of the road normies are better after all.

The aftermath of this leading to Citizens in both China and the US chomping for war against each other has me mildly concerned for the longer term tbh; Would be fine with this if Nukes didn't exist, but they do. Throw in the US' unreliable politics that are getting more schizophrenic every year and the fallout that will happen in the CCP because of this.....

Here's you some more crap. Restaurants have been cutting back on portion size.

Now, that by itself isn't necessarily bad. The American restaurant serves too much. But they're not cutting back the price. These fucking kikes are pocketing the difference.
 
The paranoid hivemind it has created. Even something as simple as a Youtube video venting frustration and/or illustrating more logical facts or personal responsibility, almost every comment to it is "HOW DARE YOU NOT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY OR TELL ME TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!11! I'VE SEEN IT FIRST HAND, THIS IS THE END" and bullshit like that.


I'd post an example, but the guy had to take it down, simply for the controversy it sparked. :\
