I haven't met a stereotypical Tool fan in like 15 years. They have to be one of the most popular active metal bands now, after Metallica.It's kind of sad how there is a resentment against TOOL among kiwis. I think the band deserves the recognition it gets.

Would you believe me if I said that I liked classic rock far before I had ever even heard of Jojo? I just started listening with my dad and decided I liked it better than the pop shit that was on the radio.
Same with me, and I have to say Jojo fans are special brand autistic anime fantards, and this is speaking from myself who actually likes Jojo. When I was a teenager and listened to most of classic rock, I only heard of most of these (among other musical genres) based on GTA.
Sometimes I wish that the JoJo fans would be less obnoxious, because it simultaneously taints both the series and Classic Rock to have to be attached to them. I won't deny that it is a popular series and a lot of people pay homage to it, but the incessant "JoJo reference" thing wore out its welcome really fast once every person making a dramatic pose had the menacing aura photoshopped onto them.
I think a part of being a JoJo fan is learning to shut up and also learning to be stoic on the internet. I mean, JoJo got me into Rainbow and Prince but seeing the comment sections of songs like Killer Queen or Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap make me to kill myself. I feel really bad for the /mu/tards who liked circlejerking In the Court of the Crimson King in late 2018 when Part 5 got animated.

I will say /mu/core hits hard sometimes. Despite being a meme album, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is really fucking good in a way. So is stuff like Slint and Radiohead.

I wouldn't say folk music is all 100 percent left-winging. Actually, some folk artists are conservative. It depends on the political views each of them follow.
I agree, but the there is a painfully large percentage that treat Bob Dylan and the Guthries as what "folk music" is about. The problem is that most of the people that talk about folk music aren't thinking about Dixieland or other old songs you could play on your harmonica, but some propaganda song that "resonates with the people."
And this is only praised by media left-wingers and hipsters. I mean, travel back to the early 20th century in terms of history of folk music and they're still better than what Woody Gutherie or Bob Dylan would ever say.
My mom and I are huge fans of Pink Floyd, yet I do agree that if anyone does have a very religious obsession over Pink Floyd, as well as Grateful Dead, ELO, Trent Reznor, Rolling Stones and many other mid-to-late-20th century experimental rock bands/artists and explain their fanboyish nature in full detail, then they need to stay away from me and everyone else
