If a woman tells you she likes Machine Girl, in the immortal words of YFM: bitch got a penis.
Also nobody likes wall noise, so if anyone tells you they enjoy Vomir, they're lying.
i'm not autistic about bands but i can understand why people hate the newfound fans of deftones. i know, i'm young. before anyone spergs about "BRO HOW DO U NOT KNOW DEFTONE. CHINO IS NUMBA ONE SINGER OF ALL TIME"
i recently discovered them about a year ago when I was trying to find something to play while going to bed. I got recommended a deftone mix that was about an hour long and some change long. the first song that played was interesting, it set a nice intro where it made me go "huh, this is a nice song to listen on a long drive at night".
then i started listening to more and it got to sextape, and that's when i realized "wow, i need to listen to this band more". i really like that slow, low voice singing chino does. not long after, deftones was making it's rounds again on TikTok and zoomers are discovering deftones for the first time while boomers are saying "yeah, they've been around since forever".
i can understand why zoomers can fuck up a music culture, but it's also a nice feeling of showing someone something and they react to it the same way as you did when you first discovered it. however, seeing alt white women use deftones as a personality trait annoys the fuck out of me and i love deftones.
- Velvet Undergroud : This shit is pretentious trash and Valerie Solanas should have aimed for Worhol's head
- Any form of breakcore: Troon. Avoid at all costs
- Lana Del Rey or Taylor Swift: Mentally unstable bitches hiding under girlboss brand feminism. But I must admit that the zoomer Kanye fans and taylor swift fans who beef it out on tiktok constantly are fucking funny to watch.
-Any teenager or weeb who likes classic rock: It's probably due to that one certain anime. I hate that I'm a fan of that certain anime.
- Tom Macdonald: rap for people who hate rap, wiggers, and migapede fossils who need to be smothered already.
-Weezer: Male feminists and soyboy rapists
- Tyler the Creator and Kendrick Lamar: Wiggers and cringy bisexuals
-Anthony Fantano fans: Anthony Fantano
-Radiohead Fans who only listen to their 90's stuff before "their music got weird"
I swear Gorillaz fans are either just straight up children or retarded manchildren. I was a hardcore Gorillaz fan in middle school, and the minute I went to high school all their music sounded like trash.
My green flag is Touhou soundtrack fans. That shit always goes so fucking hard
It's kind of sad how there is a resentment against TOOL among kiwis. I think the band deserves the recognition it gets. If isn't obvious to you, I love the band. It's great.
I will agree that people who are really into that band are really obnoxious and really like shoving that band down everybody's throat, like it's the best thing that graced the metal genre, which it really didn't.
Oh, and most of the people I know that listen to that band are huge stoners that really sperg and coom all over any prog metal band. Like Primus.
Primus sucks lol, lmao even.
I also saw some people talking about hardcore "punk", and yeah, people antifa members who listen to that are annoying as fuck, but the music is great.
Post-Hardcore is such a bop tho:
I haven't met a stereotypical Tool fan in like 15 years. They have to be one of the most popular active metal bands now, after Metallica.
If you're over 21, The Smiths should not be your favorite band. They're actually fine IMO. I like their music, and Morrissey is funny as shit, but loving the Smiths past college means you're probably immature. Everyone I have known who feels that Moz totally speaks to the depths of their soul has been either terminally bitchmade or is a massive BPD case who you need to talk out of a life-ruining decision on a weekly basis.
Sad hispters, wiggers, soyboys and manchildren who pretend to act as if they have better taste of music than anyone else. This also implies to most Death Grips fans, of which Fantano religiously loves
Would you believe me if I said that I liked classic rock far before I had ever even heard of Jojo? I just started listening with my dad and decided I liked it better than the pop shit that was on the radio.

Same with me, and I have to say Jojo fans are special brand autistic anime fantards, and this is speaking from myself who actually likes Jojo. When I was a teenager and listened to most of classic rock, I only heard of most of these (among other musical genres) based on GTA.

Sometimes I wish that the JoJo fans would be less obnoxious, because it simultaneously taints both the series and Classic Rock to have to be attached to them. I won't deny that it is a popular series and a lot of people pay homage to it, but the incessant "JoJo reference" thing wore out its welcome really fast once every person making a dramatic pose had the menacing aura photoshopped onto them.

I think a part of being a JoJo fan is learning to shut up and also learning to be stoic on the internet. I mean, JoJo got me into Rainbow and Prince but seeing the comment sections of songs like Killer Queen or Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap make me to kill myself. I feel really bad for the /mu/tards who liked circlejerking In the Court of the Crimson King in late 2018 when Part 5 got animated.

Within every commercialized artist/band from the past (no matter the genre), Jojo fan spergs are hellbent on photoshopping their shitty OC based on said vintage artist/band.

I will say /mu/core hits hard sometimes. Despite being a meme album, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is really fucking good in a way. So is stuff like Slint and Radiohead.

Yea it's funny, I do like Neutral Milk Hotel, Radiohead, Ween, MGMT, Death Grips, etc. but I hate the hipsters who have used these type of musicians are a religion. I'm looking at you, Fagthony Fagtano.
I'm talking about people that listen to shit like Woody Guthrie and his ilk. Songs that are labeled as "folksy" by the media and are usually little more than propaganda for the appropriate faction.

I wouldn't say folk music is all 100 percent left-winging. Actually, some folk artists are conservative. It depends on the political views each of them follow.

I agree, but the there is a painfully large percentage that treat Bob Dylan and the Guthries as what "folk music" is about. The problem is that most of the people that talk about folk music aren't thinking about Dixieland or other old songs you could play on your harmonica, but some propaganda song that "resonates with the people."

And this is only praised by media left-wingers and hipsters. I mean, travel back to the early 20th century in terms of history of folk music and they're still better than what Woody Gutherie or Bob Dylan would ever say.
Even the punk band Minutemen had something to say about Bob Dylan.
For me it's Pink Floyd, both Shmorky's ex Mandy and my own ex had an unhealthy obsession with Pink Floyd.
Mandy was the one cig your parents catch you with and my ex was the whole pack they make you smoke. Only intensely fucking medicated people enjoy Pink Floyd religiously. If anyone you know talks endlessly about Pink Floyd, or even fucking MENTIONS Trent Reznor, that's your signal to head for the hills.

My mom and I are huge fans of Pink Floyd, yet I do agree that if anyone does have a very religious obsession over Pink Floyd, as well as Grateful Dead, ELO, Trent Reznor, Rolling Stones and many other mid-to-late-20th century experimental rock bands/artists and explain their fanboyish nature in full detail, then they need to stay away from me and everyone else
