I have no idea who this guy is, but from your description he sounds like a one man Pitchfork. And yes, anyone whose musical taste is shaped entirely by Pitchfork is also an NPC.

What about Daft Punk?So here's the thing. Sampled music is a problem for me, but only if the person doesn't know the song being sampled. For example if you listen to Jason Derulos's Whatcha Say. Not knowing Hide and Seek by Imogen heap is a bad sign. This doesn't apply to covers though.
Can you give me an example? Not sure if I've heard a song that uses a sample clear enough from them to even be recognizable. What about Daft Punk?

To be clear I'm not saying you need to know everything from a major mashup like below. Just if it's a big part of the rhythm or recurring and the sample is long like 5s or more.

This is an incredibly autistic opinion and exists solely so you can feel superior to others for knowing a few songs that were sampled by others. So here's the thing. I complain about black metal oldfags for being genre purists and hating BM microgenres like DSBM, Blackened crust, etc. All Finnish events like Apocalyptic Rites are run by oldfag purists so its just days of pure raw black metal. I complain, but the "off-brand" Black Metal events are even worse, because they're festering pits of freaks like leftist crusts and actual shitty subgenres like Blackgaze, that is known for "ethereal" vocals aka pixie whispering.
Sorry for being unclear. And yes, I acknowledge I am a bit of a hypocrite.
Okay, I'm really liking this list, I can see where you're coming fro--You are a Pedophile or wish you were raped by a pedophile when you were younger, you're also a 30+ BMI and political sperg:
Mr. Kitty, Crystal Castles, Ministry, Mindless Self Indulgence, Scissor Sisters, They Might Be Giants, Marilyn Manson, Sewerslut, Machine Girl, Laibach, Nine Inch Nails, Pastel Ghost, Sidewalks and Skeletons, Health, Streetlight Mannifesto, Tame Impala, Insane Clown Posse, Emily Autumn.
You are a pretentious niggerfaggot or braindead tiktok zoomer who only knows their most popular radio single. You reek and you probably drink light beer:
Have a Nice Life, Flying Lotus, Molchat Doma, KMFDM, Carpenter Brut, Eurythmics, Gotye, Home, I Monster, Interpol, Mareaux, MGMT, Muse, Queen, Radiohead, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Vierre Cloud, Frank Ocean, any pop station top 40 nasally woman.
I never heared of any of those bands. also Meg and jack were only pretending to be brother and sister.Any mid 00 - 2010s mainstream “indie” band. The xx, 1975, Catfish and the Bottleman, Pale Waves plus all those bands with girls that appeal to faux lesbians and creepy men who date girls much younger than them… they just scream I have no personality.
Haha si señor. Este es el país de los murciélagosAvenged Sevenfold fans are Mexican
Way too many people in this thread have been calling TOOL a red flag.
Just accept that they got you, and you are one of those peopleOkay, I'm really liking this list, I can see where you're coming fro--
>Nine-Inch Nails, HEALTH, Carpenter Brut, HOME, Queen, Soundgarden
Screw you.
I don't know if you guys are old enough to remember this, it was either LastFM or Pandora back in the late 2000's, but Imagine Dragons cut some kind of deal where they had their shit in every tag, including classical music. You couldn't get away from them. That's how I feel about HEALTH with every genre I enjoy. Dudes self-tags as everything and they're the electronic equivalent of a coverband at best. They have a drum machine and don't use it beyond a kickstep beat. Their "remixes" are just homeboy's monotone, froggy soy-drenched wheezing played over baby's first industrial kit. It's fucking audio slop, which is why they put it in Cyberpunk.Okay, I'm really liking this list, I can see where you're coming fro--
