What Are Some Youtube Channels You Used to Watch?

- I pretty much stopped watching the skeptics although for different reasons. People like Sargon or Armoured Skeptic I cannot longer stand but with some of the less autistic I simply lost track. Honestly the ones that get the less about making a political movement are still on my watchlist.
- Mothers Basement: I have watched his SAO takedowns more times than Im proud to admit but I stopped watching around the time he put his video on separating the autor from the art. I honestly cant stomach him these days which is kinda weird since I watch EyePatched Wolf and he is as much of a cuck.
- Internet reviewers ala Channel Awesome and their offspring. I never met Doug while he was supposed to be funny. I really only watched Brad for his christian movie reviews and lost track once he got blacklisted by Lupa. I ocassionally watch Phelous video on Foodfight to remind me they exist.
- Patrick (((H))) Willems: Ngl his Anderson-Men short is still one of my favorite videos of all time.
- IDubbz: Last video I watched was The Fun Police. Theres something broken with him.
- Bobby Burns: He wishes he was dead.

Used to watch quite a few LP'rs back in the day.

The most notable one would be HCBailly. Made a ton of JRPG playthroughs and is pretty thorough in almost all of them. He got me into the Final Fantasy and Disgaea series.

I stopped watching him after a few years. His commentary style gets a little samey after a while and he has quite a few idiosyncrasies and repeat phrases that can grate a little. (Although he's more than aware of them)

To this day, he's still making content and has his followers and hasn't really changed too much from what I've seen. But in a world where gaming channels have become more about the personality and e-fame rather than playing fucking video games, it's kind of nice to see he hasn't changed.

Also used to watch a bunch of AVGN style reviewers like DarknesstheCurse and UrinatingTree. The latter has went on to making videos shitting on various sports teams in the same style as his old game reviews (albeit more refined). Not sure what the former is doing now.

Oh god, so many...

-Nostalgia Critic (that Fury Road video was just too damn much)
-Cinema Snob (I catch the Midnight Reviews every so often but I haven't watched one of his regular videos in 2-3 years)
-Lupa (till CTC happened)
-Linkara (ditto)
-Film Brain
-Lindsay Ellis
-The Dom
-Amazing Athiest
-Angry Joe (his tv/movie reviews are almost as long as the source material).
-Sargon
-Spoony
-MundaneMatt
-Mother's Basement
-Sons of Kojima

...and those are just off the top of my head.

Most, if not all of the Ventrilo Harassment channels/copycats. Endless fun with those and it's a shame they no longer make content.
I watched Skeptic videos because I was an impressionable idiot with too much spare time, right up until I realized they were annoying shysters just like their opponents.
It's hard to remember all the shit from way back when it first started, but it was definitely terrible.

I've stopped watching content from a lot of "Skeptic" channels because it got really boring watching people "make fun of"/ "become outraged" by things that are essentially low-hanging fruit(flat-earthers, fundamentalists Christians, SJWs, etc).

I've even taken a break from Metokur's videos for similar reasons. I'll probably hop back in if there's entertaining drama.

Now I pretty much use YT for making music playlists and non-Indian programming videos.

AntsCanada. It was weirdly compelling watching this guy with his huge ant farms. Also the guy was insane, having a boatload of fucking fire ants inside his house, no matter how well he kept them contained. I caught up in his videos after going through his playlists and forgot to go back and check for new ones.
If you haven't checked it out yet I recommend Ants Australia. It's a better, less typical youtube garbage channel but it just updates way less frequently.

For gaming channels I never dipped too deep into them. I watched Pewdiepie like most people and dropped him after he stopped being genuine and would play up the retardation for views. Same thing for Markiplier. They were pretty good when they first started, or at least that's how I remember them.

I stayed subbed to Two Best Friends Play until they disbanded. They're all pretty terrible on their own in different ways. My heart goes out to Woolie though, dude deserves to have some endeavor of his take off.

Nyx Fears was a horror movie review channel I used to watch. I though he just dressed in the 90's emo style but he was alright. I was unaware of his trooning and he slowly became so hideous I couldn't watch him anymore.

Found Nyx through Nightmind. That was a good horror reviewing channel but the guy behind it started getting too egotistical after taking off and it lost any sort of magic it had and he got annoying.

Great War is one, I might still be subbed to I think... They do a day by day retelling of WW1 based on 100 years ago to the day. I binged the channel but ended up getting bored after getting caught up. I would actually recommend checking the channel out if you like history, it's pretty good.

I dropped Ants Canada after he started getting all fake youtuber. I stayed around longer than I wanted since there's not a lot of ant content on Youtube. Not that I have a thing for ants but after watching Ants Canada/Australia I actually discovered they're pretty cool.

I'm sure there' more but I'm tired of writing this shit list about Youtube.

Used to watch Matt from 2BFP.
Then the breakup happened, and I kinda realized how lame his individual content was, and how much of a twat he had become over the years.
Never realized how much Pat and Woolie carried him till they were gone.

Otherwise I also watched Arin Hansen, and Nostalgia Critic, but I stopped on both due to finding their threads, and not being able to move past the autism.

  • Blaire White: after the move to LA and the plastic surgery, the content really went downhill
  • Nostalgia Critic: stopped watching right around that Fury Road review. It was too much.
  • Nostalgia Chic: she would unnecessarily push her political views in places it wasn’t really needed. Also, her shtick got old after a while.
  • Black Pigeon Speaks: stopped watching after he tried to make a link between the witch hunts and the Plague. The amateur historian in me found too many inaccuracies.
  • PJW: most of his content became boring when he was repeating the same things over and over again.
  • Sargon: stopped watching right around the Akilah (I can’t spell that name right) Hughes debacle.
  • Chris Ray Gun: his stuff got old really fast.
  • Undoomed: I still like his work and he’s entertaining, but he doesn’t really produce as much as he used to.
  • I Hate Everything: he became one of those boring movie reviewers.

Forgotten Weapons.
I still do, but I used to too.
Alright.

edit:

I can't just do a one word reply.

I used to watch AvE, but it's gone odd, his channel. The cnc is boring, and bless his kids but I don't really want to see them, especial!y when he hides his own face. Odd censorship. I don't begrudge his channel growing, I just don't like how it's growing. Not so skookum.

Also used to watch Jimmy Broadbent, the Brit sim racer. Agsin, channel growth brings change. He gets a lot of money thrown at him these days, and he'll always acknowledge it asap. So, much more money talk, spoils the flow a bit. Less time to acknowledge non donaters. And his audiences are in the thousands now, chat is ridiculous. I wish him well, he's earned his success, but I miss the cosy old days.

there's other ex-channels, but these two got the notification bell switched on.

I also used to watch Chuggaaconroy and TheRunawayGuys a lot when I was in middle school. He's a really genuine guy and he still makes content to this day, I just don't have the attention span for watching Let's Plays anymore.

Oh fucking yeah. TheRunawayGuys are fucking legendary. I still remember some of that shit from their New Super Mario Bros. Wii Let's Play.

Chuggaaconroy is a Youtube legend too...I mean he set up TRG, and he's arguably the best part of TRG. He makes quality lps. Too bad...like you said...let's plays do get boring after awhile.

I used to watch TK KOSDFF but seeing raging kids and drunk rednecks on call of duty isn't anything unique. Just a normal day on cod and his trolling is stiff and bland as cardboard.

I just can't stand Doug Walker anymore then again I never did to begin with but it was something to watch while waiting for AVGN episodes.

BrentalFloss but his covers are really lame when I think back to them.
The only ones I can think of. I played vidya more than used the internet back then.

I used to watch these guys microwave stuff religiously back in the late 00s-early 10s.
Anyone know what they've been up to these days?

Shit, I remember him. His trolling got old fast, especially when it turned out that it wasn't an act, and that he really was a sarcastic, condescending wank. I'm pretty sure the TK clan he was a part of ended up turning on him, along with most of their fanbase.

I've seen him pop up once or twice since then, when people shit on him for crying on Twitter.

Cinemassacre: Used to watch AVGN, but outgrew it. His last episode with Gilbert Gottfried was the first time in about 4 years or so I've watched him, and I wasn't very impressed with it. I like(d) James's videos where he's talking about old horror movies, but lately he's been doing more sketch shit with his friends and that weasel faced faggot Mike so I skip it.

Cinema Snob/Stoned Gremlin: Used to be a big fan of Brad as well, but just haven't found myself interested in his videos for a few years.

Undoomed: Like any anti-sjw video, you've seen one you've seen them all. He was the best of the bunch, but it got old fast.

The Amazing Atheist: Watched him before I grew up and realized I was dangerously close to being just as big a clown as he is.

Yeah Brad doesn't review weird porn or exploitation anymore.
