What Are Some Youtube Channels You Used to Watch?

PBG: He had pretty fun reviews for awhile until he started to sperg more and more. Add in what I saw of him in his playthrough channel and I soon realized this guy was off his meds, literally. Reviews just became him spazzing out the whole video vs anything of substance.

I've only ever watched a handful of his videos because I grew up playing old school PC games, but the whole ProJared fiasco ruined it for me.

A lot of old school let's players I used to watch back in high school and beyond.

Got into Chuggaconroy because of FireRed, dropped him because the Majora's Mask playthrough was boring. Forget why I got into NintendoCapriSun and ProtonJon, but I dropped the former because his sense of humor got annoying, and the latter because he started uploading videos once every 6 months. I also forget why I got into Cthulhuigi, but I dropped him after his whole autistic "faking his death" saga. I still think UltraJMan is hilarious, especially the I Wanna Be The Guy and I Wanna Be The Fangame let's plays, but he nuked everything when he got serious about making indie games. L0rdVega's Silent Hill playthroughs were godly, but he quit YouTube for whatever reason.

Tim Pool - Couldn't handle his doomer attitude. Also his videos would clog up my feed. All his videos start to be come white noise after a while.

Cinema Snob - He turned me off by all the shit he did to trying to get funding for his second Snob film. Also I think he just stopped reviewing shit I was interested in.

CGR - Mark stopped making content on YT. Still subscribbed. He is doing 80s comic reviews now on the channel.

Needle Drop - Smug Liberal. Also the magic was lost after Fader or whoever wrote a hit piece on him and he shutdown his Meme channel.

Jim - Has he made any content in a bit? I don't use bitchute that often and sucked that he yeeted his channel on YT.

Bennet the Sage - He changed his Anime Abondon format and I didn't care for it.

Horror / True Crime channels - a lot of them got shafted in the first Adpocalypse. Rob Dyke stopped making content I liked. There was this one girl I used to subscribe to and she stopped making content because she stared into the abyss to much. I first noticed something was up when she stopped making less serious content.

I Hate Everything - After he decided to take as long as he wants to make content. He lost his way with The Search for the Worst or whatever its called. I'm fine when people like Fredrik Knudsen or Internet Historian take forever for their content. Frendik does a ton a research, is pretty netural on his topics, and I never know what he's cooking up next. IH at least updates his fans on the video progress and his vids are usually pretty funny. Not so much with IHE.

Idubbbz - He stopped Kickstarter Crap and just did Unboxings and Content Cop. Then nothing pretty much.

Larry Bundy Jr. - He just ran out of stuff to talk about. His vids seem to take a lot longer to come out now. Not super interested but he seems like a good dude still.

Yeah, I used to watch his stuff, then he took a break and changed his name to Rob Gavigan or something. I heard he's an asshole to people on livestreams, so I couldn't care less what he does now. He also used to do collaborations with some true crime girl (whose name I forget) who looked like Riley Reid, but she had a weird panic attack and a meltdown and now stopped doing videos.

That's the girl I'm talking about. I think she won some contest Rob put on. And she wrote for some of his vids. I really enjoyed her non-serious content. I still subbed after she quit, but she might have taken the channel down.

IIRC, her old stuff used to just be basic white girl millennial content like makeup and crap, then once she did her stuff with Rob, she jumped on the true crime bandwagon and made sp00py videos. I think it was last year some time that she made this long emotional rant about her life, and then never uploaded again. Her name was Kayleigh or something.

Surprised I'm the first to mention The Needle Drop/Anthony Fantano. I used to love his stuff, but after the The Fader article, he just got so unbearably cucky. Once it became impossible for him to do a "Let's Argue" video without a long, weepy sermon on some political topic, I had to give him up.

And yeah, I used to watch Channel Awesome back in the day. Some of the content creators from that time period were okay (Spoony, Todd in the Shadows), but I think I'd rather have a root canal than watch Doug Walker now.

I'll never turn my back on my boy James Rolfe, though. I still get a kick out of the old AVGN videos and his new videos, while not quite the same, are still pretty good. Yeah, Rental Reviews sucks, but it's honestly refreshing to see a youtuber that is by and large free of e-drama.

Photonicinduction - Picture if you crossed Colin Furze with Mehdi Sadaghdar, and the result was this crazy guy who likes over-juicing capacitors and making them explode. He likes going on long hiatuses that make people speculate that he electrocuted himself or burned his house down in the interim, because he likes playing with electricity inside his shitty Britbong house and his carpet has obvious scorch marks.

Julian Smith - He pretty much dropped off the face of the Earth.

FPSRussia - He was a dumbass and got caught slinging dope or something and they took all his guns away.

RocketJump - Long dry spells with no content. Just nothing. Apparently they did some original series like a year ago or something?

RubberFruit - Another dead channel. The last thing he made was like six fucking years ago or whatever. I have him to thank for making me profoundly retarded.

It's been said before, but the big difference between James Rolfe and the people who were on Channel Awesome was that he always made it clear that the AVGN was just a character. The Nostalgia Critic was just Doug Walker. Spoony was just Noah Antwiler. Cinema Snob was just Brad Jones. Et cetera, et cetera. You never knew where the characters ended and the people began, because the characters were always just them, with aspects of their personality turned up to 11.

The other big thing that separates James from most internet celebrities is that he's smart enough to keep his private life private. I'd point to the Internet Famous board, but really this entire website is a monument to people insisting on oversharing their lives in the internet. Spoony, again, is a good example. Look at all the things we know about him. Now look at James. Apart from basic facts about him, like living in the Philadelphia area and having a wife and 2 kids, what do we actually know about him as a person?

This video sums up your points down to a T:

Mike Chen of Strictly Dumpling when he started hanging out with Buzzfeed trash, so he's a Buzzfeed ass kissing faggot in my eyes now.

Found out recently that Mikey Chen has some weird clickbait pseudo-science Youtube channel as well called Beyond Science.

That only tells me how much of a mistake it was to watch woke food channels.

I've seen a couple of his videos before out of curiosity and found him rather irritating but there's something funny about him having a side YT channel dedicated to ancient aliens and shit.

l0rdvega - till he quit when his poly gf left him.

Mr Chi City - no idea why I watched him, but I remember those videos being funny. Went to a porn convention and filmed it before yt were nazis

someone called "wiz-something??" - can't remember the name but they switched from lock picking to motorcycle work then possibly deleted.

HCBailly - played all the rpgs I missed out on, but his speech impediment just wore me down and I unfollowed.

cloud8745 - I hated every second of this dudes videos, I have no defense as to why I watched for so long, "sounds fat" is all I can say. Actually maybe it was because he had the only non-cam lps of fatal frame

MoogleFTW was my first experience in YouTube lets play videos. I got my first laptop and every day after school I'd come home and watch his Oblivion Series. He slowly stopped uploading after just a few Twitch (or as it was back then Justin TV) clips were put on his channel. I wonder where he went and sometimes rewatch those old series for nostalgia sake.

Wait, that's why he left? I always thought he just got bored with YouTube.

Nope, bus to chicago, laid down some anal*, came home and did a few pouty streams, then stopped youtube.

(*I'm not kidding, her ass was sore: and I quote "well unless YOU want to tell them why it's sore" when asked why she was awkward sitting down)

Nostalgia Critic: For the same reasons everyone else posted.

SMG4: Combination of growing out of it and the cast being flooded with shitty OCs.

Cinemasins: Shtick got old.

Cinemawins: Thought it was a nice alternative at first, but then it became extensively clear that the guy gloats on the positives no matter what. That and he wouldn't shut up about his damn toddler. Nobody gives a fuck.
