What Are Some Youtube Channels You Used to Watch?

Used to watch NerdCubed, but now I can't stand the guy's content because it's pretty much the exact opposite of what it was. He used to do relatively funny, edited one off videos on games, now it's largely unfunny livestreams, with very rarely some short bits of edited content on his main channel. What i find madding is that if I remember correctly he stated in the past that he didn't like (and by extension didn't want to do) livestreams because of all the dead air they tend to have, and he also rarely did series because he didn't want games to over stay their welcome. Honestly could probably talk more on him, but this really is the biggest reason I just dislike the guy, and I think that's all that really needs to be said.
People talk about the adpocalypse, but I think livestreams, patreon and superchats have killed more channels.

Metokur - I liked the corona streams (especially as the WHO was saying everything was fine), but before that the streams were getting dull and content was on the decline.

Razorfist - I watched some of his reviews, letsplays and political vids. I only really stopped watching after seeing his thread on the farms and thinking he was a pretty bad person to be taking political (or general) advice from, given he's mid 30's with his only claim to fame being a youtube channel. If I'm going to listen to people giving out advice (and political takes were in all ofm his content) they need to have something to back it up, some skill/insight/talent/expereince, something substantial. The question is, do I listen to the mid 30s guy dating an 18 year old, who is only noteworthy for his youtube channel. I thought he was much younger than he was, so I assumed he was working towards something, but nope. I don't want to be in his position when I am his age, so it just made me reconsider who I watch/how I spend my time.

TAA - I grew out of my edgy atheist phase, and was never interested in the stoner culture. TJ always seemed like a cunt, no idea why I didn't bail sooner.

Cody's lab - I have no idea why. I think I just got bored and found other more appealing channels. I liked science experiments, so I could get my fix with other channels like Nile Red, Explosions and Fire, Nurd Rage, The Thought Emporium and to a degree, Thunderf00t (who has also stopped doing experiments).

Nikumanguitar - Easily the best cover of Mr Crowley on the internet. There was only 1 issue. No one knew if the guitarist was a woman or a trap. I think they quit when people found out it was a dude.
thankfully someone reuploaded it. Nikuman had a bunch of different channels, but the last one he went with, hasn't had any content in a year, as well as long periods of nothing. https://www.youtube.com/user/17586063/videos I also prefer the older stuff compared to some of the newer. I didn't care for their album/original stuff. This actually reminded me to sub to another guitarist I forgot about ages ago, Dan Mumm. He had some great covers of classical music. These days it's hard finding guitarists I like youtube search is fucking horrendous.

Rooster Teeth - I jsut got bored of them. They went heavy into letsplay and it just seemed dull and that they hated life. Now the company is a dumpsterfire.

Sorted - It felt like tehy moved from the cooking to some weird parasocial shit. It was overproduced and just didn't feel like a relatable cooking show.

Angry Joe - I realised he was full of shit after his Alpha Protocol reivew. AP is an amazing game, but Joe was a retard who had no grasp of the basic mechanics covered in the tutorial, and whined that the gunplay wasn't like Gears of War. All he had to do was hold down the button to focus, it's literally covered in the combat tutorial at the start. Holy fuck what a retard. AP 10/10 your choices matter.

Alpha M - Ok the name was cringe, but I had issues with razorburn and shaving. I also was kinda curious about mens fashion/suits. So I thought I could ignore all the "alpha" bullshit, but nope. The guy was cringe as fuck, and is a shill who wil try to sell you shit based on peopels insecurities. It's really fucking sad. I didn't even learn much. I will just stick with whatever suits are local when I need them, and take them to a tailor for fitting. I don't care if that's basic or uncultured, I hate pretentious BS and overcompensation. I'm wouldn't be surprised if he, and some simmilar channels had threads on the site. No I won't use manscaped to shave my balls, I'm not shaving my balls.

Scooby1961 - I think his channel became too general so I stopped following him. I liked the fitness stuff.

Classic Game Room - I think I just stopped caring about videogames. Nothing new really interests me.

Cr1tikal - His content sucks.

College Humour - Once upon a time, they acually made funny videos.

Cracked - See above. Rip Does not compute, even if it was just an autistic version of Watch mojo.

PBG - One day he stopped producing content and I never watched again. At the same time I found JonTron which was at the time the funniest shit ever for me, while PBG sounded like a lame, out of energy version.

Davie504 - Repetitive and boring.

M3KMUS1C, Anomaly - His commentary got more autistic than funny and at the same time I grew out of his style of humor. I did watch his vid on his guitars where he is more chill than usual and I enjoyed it a lot. Similarly, Anomaly became less of an angry swedish retard and more of an uppity, decadent dipshit who flaunts his money way too much.

Cryaotic - Before the pedophilia controversy, I stopped watching because he made a terrible final choice in his TWD playthrough, as lame as it sounds, but it was because of how inconsistent and hypocritical his choice was. It just gave me a feeling of being a very fake person, which wasnt far off the mark.

Kryoz (and co.) - Apart from MiniLadd being a kiddie diddler, I've grown out of their content, which is not necessarily bad content, since in some ways they resemble the "friends in couch playing games" shtick that OneyPlays and GameGrumps once filled. However, I've rewatched them recently and some of the jokes still land, they had a few pretty witty moments.

ForgottenWeapons - I tune on and off, but Karl is saturating his channel with the amount of output these days. I personally find the field strip sections boring and only listen to the guns' history. EDIT: I have dementia and these last few days I've been confusing Ian for Karl. Apologies.

IHE, ralphthemoviemaker, YMS - Recently I've given up on "critics" as a whole, because they're wildly inconsistent and extremely non-objective, in particular carton reviewers like Saberspark or LSMark. Plus, I've recently been discovering how to make my own criticisms and determine for myself if I like something or not. Ralph's reviews have gotten less edgy over time and more calm and boring, if not politically leftist from time to time. He's still one of the few worth listening to, though. YMS is a spastic and IHE needs to take a long break from the channel.

The Cosmonaut Variety Hour - Commienaut has recently been falling more and more into politics during reviews. Fuck him. His scoring is much like YMS': all over the place.

Schaffrillas - This guy though, is an unfunny disgrace. I hate long monotone joke deliveries, its the laziest form of humor next to musicals. It's just awkward, unfunny, obnoxious, and interruptive, because you arent reviewing what youre supossed to. And I hate the subjects of his videos; every Pixar/Dreamworks movie ranked, for an hour? Give me a break.

CGPGrey - He cant fucking research.

And honorable mention to McSkillet - Because of the obvious, even though he made decent background noise.

Another one I just remembered is TheAnimeMan. I initially liked him for his insight into Japanese culture but unsubbed shortly after he decided to stop gaming and took on an elitist know-it-all attitude. That and his constant need to remind everyone that he and Aki were dating was obnoxious as fuck.

I've seen this happen a lot in the fandom.

idk if I brought this up earlier in the thread or a similar one, but this is exactly why I avoid videos where someone has their romantic partners as a one-off guest, they're just holes with no chemistry, they very very rarely have the experience to even try to fit with the content.

He has some decent manga recommendations but gets annoyingly disingenuous when he hams it up and makes excuses for liking "degenerate" content.

Gigguk - His accent sounds if he's chewing on cud . He loves to yell just to emphasize a point he's trying to make, has bad takes on mecha and certain other genres. Sydsnap is worse than he is with her obnoxiously grating hentai reviews.

Midnight's Edge - They had some interesting behind the scenes drama/gossip but then went on to obsess over any Marvel/Disney drama no matter how insignificant it may be. I watched an episode featuring Nerdrotic and he does the same shit as well. They tried to change things up with the Toxic Femininity shows they host,. It's just as bad but somewhat easier on the eyes. How do they spend 4 hours arguing about Star Wars, comics, Disney and censorship each time and not repeat themselves?

Necro XIII - Spends his time taking apart admittedly stupid hot takes and reviews from other anitubers, which is easy enough to do but hardly creates any original content.

Dunkey - Dude became the same one trick pony since 2016. He was at his best when he was just fucking around and peaked in 2014. Most of his videos now are just him laughing glitches in games or making the most milquetoast reviews while mocking other review's.

Cr1tikal - Like dunkey he just got soo stale and samey with his drama of the day videos.

Game Grumps - Was a die hard Jon fan. Stuck around till spring 2014 when I unsubbed, went to achievement hunter for daily let's play's.

Achievement Hunter/RoosterTeeth - Their content just got boring for me after a while. The 2013-2014 was the era I loved them most. Some would say it's their Golden Age. After Ray left the flow of the room was never the same. I unsubbed around 2017. Ryan getting fired was another nail in the coffin. I catch a few videos if it's got a good group going (Michael, Gavin, Jeremy or Matt ) but aside from that I'm glad their a dying company. Oney plays is my last holdout for good let's play videos.

Most Metal Music Channels - a lot of them over the last 2 years never make any good videos anymore.

Idubbbz - His content cop videos we're his best. Watched his save the squirrels videos that were good too. See thread for reason of unsubscribing.

A few have mentioned stopped watching people who supported the riots or funding retarded organizations. As long as the people I watch keep their gay shit out of the content they make I'll put up with it. Example: I know Vivzepop's an insane women but HH and HB are soo good that I can ignore whatever the spaz says on twitter.

RealLifeRyan: He got popular by Berserk manga chapter videos, and while I loved chatting Berserk, the videos were very simplistic and it soon became apparent this was really just a really dumb kid who liked exposure more than his content. He started going full on HxH and other dumb shit to try and garner fans and I just got sick of him.
Huh. Never thought I'd see him mentioned. I kind of agree. I love his berserk videos and a few other types of vids by him, but your right he's all over the place now with his video content.

I used to watch Matt Stonie, Furious Pete, and LA Beast. I have nothing against them, I just got bored with their eating challenges and other antics.

I used to watch game theory but I don't like it so much nowadays.

The guy is such a failed parasite so much so that it resulted in accomplished, genuine producers to call him out on his shit while his rabid fanbase would attack anyone who went against his mooch narrative.

It was so good at the beginning, it would make me click on the videos the same way shit in v-sauce did. I swear it was cocaine. I still remember the intro too, it's etched in my brain.

Heck, back in the day I would even say "BUT THAT'S A THEORY, A X THEORY" like a little tool on the internet when the occasion arrived in a conversation.

thejasongenova

They're as retarded as Lily Orchard and the rest of the cartoon crit community on Youtube, so really you did yourself a favour.

used to be fan of HouseholdHacker, then i noticed they've been sperging about as seen on TV products while pathetically stick it to them by making sloppy versions of the products that they wasted their money on

Nostalgic critic - When he rebooted in 2013 something felt off about his content and he no longer seemed all that funny anymore.. Looking back ironically Doug Walker's humor was never all that great to begin with.

PBG - the moment he disavow Jontron.

Extra Credits - The older I got the more I more lamer there videos were and then they went woke and I left there Channel.

Midnights Edge, Clownfishtv or any of the Kathleen Kennedy will totally be fired this time Youtubers- There videos gotten old real fast and overtime I realized they do not have actual knowledge of what they are talking about.
Pretty much any youtuber that I subbed that supported BLM last year-

Kraut and tea- his scummy actions during the rageafterstorm incident made me unsub from him.

Sargon of akkad- My interest in him was already wanning since his his debate with Richard Spencer made him look like an idiot in comparison to the buffoon he debated but Carl calling Jim a child groomer finally made me give up on him for good.

The Cynical Historian - I was a fan of his from the beginning but whether it was his annoying "muh academia" quips, his hypocritical view of conspiracy theories, his trump derangement syndrome, his lack of nuance when it come to his subject manner, his attitudes towards criticism of his content, or his pro censorship views. I began to really despise him. I think it was either his really bad take on the film The Death of Stalin or was his strawmaning the Irish indenture servants were slaves argument and turning the comments off when people began forming counter arguments in his slavery video that completely turn me off from his videos.

Saaaame. I used to enjoy Midnight's Edge quite a lot, because they used to provide accurate information. Seriously, their series on the Josh Trank Fantastic Four movie was great and really entertaining to watch. Fast-forward to now, and it's all about "Kathleen Kennedy" and "Brie Larson," only because reactionary shit gets more clicks than actually putting forth the effort to write and edit a video that is actually informative.

Like, I hate the wokeness that's infesting every franchise I ever loved as well, but I'm just so, so tired of seeing and talking about it on every waking moment of my day. I get it: It's totally a problem, but I don't want or need to watch videos about it constantly from several different people, no less.

Eric July/YoungRippa seems to be the only one in the "Fandom Menace" who still provides commentary that I find compelling and interesting to watch, and he doesn't do the clickbaiting shit about "Will Kathleen Kennedy be fired this time? Insiders say yes, and that's it's totally going to happen this time!" And he's shown that he has other passions and hobbies that he focuses on as well, and that it's not just him crying about Star Wars or Marvel over and over.
