What are the best old games?

Too many to recommend honestly, just play anything old. Chances are it's good. I've been trying crazy taxi for the first time, it's really difficult but really fun with the so bad it's good physics. Need a bit more specific about what old you're looking for.

Based on what the internet has told me, old games are the realm of the tranny and I'm not allowed to enjoy them.
Those pretty women in old games might make the troons feel a little dysphoric.

Yeah honestly there’s so many that look good. Too many games, too little time. Crazy how the bog standard game back in the day is great now.

I don't have enough autism to enjoy games I've beaten several times.
Pinball is as close as it gets. I recommend "Theatre of Magic".

I'm tempted to just open up my game drawers and name every game I own.

But to limit myself to just two:

Legacy of the Wizard (NES)
The Journeyman Project (Turbo, if you have a way of emulating Win3.1 or 9x... otherwise go with its remake, Pegasus Prime. Turbo is better but can be a bitch to run on modern hardware).
Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers

Holy fuck some people in here either didn't grow up with classic gaming or are way younger than I thought.

  1. Golden Axe
  2. Pokemon Gold
  3. The Classic Crash Bandicoot
  4. Rayman
  5. Castlevania
  6. Classic Sonic
  7. Oddworld
  8. GTA Vice city
  9. Street Fury

Morrowind, even without mods it's a fantastic game but mods take it to a whole new level. Tamriel Rebuilt, Distant Land generation, etc. There's so many good mods.

DOOM (and DOOM II) Still the king of the Boomer Shooters.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the original Wolfenstein 3D games were important but today they're age shows a lot more and DOOM is just better for a boomer shooter, however Return to Castle Wolfenstein falls in this interesting niche zone between old school Boomer Shooters and something more modern. It's a fun game that brings a lot to the table for what it is.

The original Halo is still a classic and the first real modern FPS game. Despite coming out the same year as Return to Castle Wolfenstein the mechanical superiority of Halo is quite evident, it broke new ground. Depending on how old is old to you Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo ODST are also excellent games, though unfortunately one of the best parts of Halo 3, the Forge, is less fun today because the multiplayer scene has moved on.

Star Wars: Empire at War, the only RTS type Strategy game I ever really enjoyed. Like Morrowind its best with mods, my favorites are Awakening of the Rebellion and Fall of the Republic.

If you are young, or don't share walls and floors, or severely shameless, Dance Dance Revolution 5th Mix. Everything past Extreme is gay.

They're pretty basic bitch but I would recommend:
  • Super Metroid
  • Metroid Fusion
  • Chrono Trigger
  • Metroid Prime Trilogy (1&2 on Gamecube if speed running techniques tickle your tism)
  • Battalion Wars
  • Resident Evil 4
  • Resident Evil 5 coop if you have a friend
  • GTA Vice City/San Andreas/IV
  • Ocarina of Time
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Metal Gear Solid 1-3
  • Dark Sector if you ever played Warframe and were curious about it. Personally found it kinda mid.
  • LotR: Battle for Middle Earth.
  • Age of Empires 1-3
  • Starcraft Brood War
  • Noita, newer but still good
  • The true Battlefront games

The Marathon series is an incredible shooter trilogy and schizophrenia simulator many missed out on because they where Mac only games, nowadays you can just get them free on steam. While the gameplay is great and full of Incredible atmosphere it's the story and writing that makes Marathon truly special. Weither just enjoying the surface story of aliens and some AIs or deep diving into the gaint mass of cryptic nonsense that could only be written by people working next to a crack house, it's a incredible and unique experience.

Contra on the NES.
One of the best games ever made.
Good graphics, good art design, great music, amazing insanely responsive gameplay.
I can't think of a single flaw.
