From what I've seen programming is troon central.

I hear this a lot, but it's not been my experience. Maybe at larger corporations where they can afford to collect diversity checkboxes, while still having people to do the work.

I've mostly seen them in open source projects where there is no barrier to entry. When i do see them in the corporate world, it's usually either basic front end/css work or some adjacent role like tech writer or attending conferences.

This is not to say troons can't be good developers. I just don't see an infestation. I will say I've seen a lot more latino developers and that has been a breath of fresh air.
