I know game dev and programming in general has become absolutely POZZ'd, but what are some other examples?

Depends on the type of pogramming or the job. Open source? Full of them. FAANG? Too many for comfort. Startups? Less so. Boring industries like banking and insurance? You probably won't ever encounter one. From what I've seen programming is troon central.
Maybe because call centers are like bottom tier jobs that are there for no experience idiots who failed at highschool and can't do anything else cause they are fuckups... You know? Like trannies.I've worked at several call centers that had a troon or two working there. I'm not sure what attracts them to the position.
major companies that operate out of places like silicon valley or seattle etc are lousy with troons, especially social media companies. None of them have a whole lot to do dev wise, they all sit around and add dumb shit like pronoun drop-down menus to their registration forms.I hear this a lot, but it's not been my experience. Maybe at larger corporations where they can afford to collect diversity checkboxes, while still having people to do the work.
I've mostly seen them in open source projects where there is no barrier to entry. When i do see them in the corporate world, it's usually either basic front end/css work or some adjacent role like tech writer or attending conferences.
This is not to say troons can't be good developers. I just don't see an infestation. I will say I've seen a lot more latino developers and that has been a breath of fresh air.
