What are the Worst Casting Decisions that have ever been made?

I truly think Seth Rogan as DK is one million times worse than Pratt as Mario. (Jack Black is a horrible choice for Bowser but I agree with others that he is going to somehow make it work through sheer charisma alone.)

The movie is going to be an absolute garbage fire regardless, causing Nintendo to banish Mario from appearing in any Western made media again for another 20 years.

As for my own, Jonathan Groff as Agent Smith in the new Matrix film, I know it's the easy kid to pick on but holy shiiiitttt. Loved the dude in Mind Hunter but the second I saw him come on screen I knew the movie was about to get 20 times worse.

Has anyone talked about Uncharted yet? Holland tries his best, but he is not a middle aged men like the role calls for. Wallberg just plays himself. I thought the movie was okay as its own thing, but the casting really hurt it being a movie for Uncharted.

Also, I will throw in Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear just on the principle that it is retarded to not get back Tim Allen for the role.

Kinda gay of me since I have no attachment to the Uncharted series whatsoever but seeing Tom Holland cast as Nathan Drake really pissed me off, that guy is an adult sized toddler, not a chiselled seasoned explorer.

ETA: Now that I am thinking about video game movies, the entire casting of the humans in the Warcraft film was complete poo. Travis Fimmel being the worst since they might have well have just said "Just be Ragnar, what's the worst that could happen." I truly think if they weren't retarded they could have had enough content to shit out at least 5 more movies of varying quality.

I think in Holland's case, it's the jawline. He doesn't have that for Nathan Drake, among other issues I have with his kind.

Steve Mcqueen in 1978s An Enemy Of The People.

A big dumb action star, completely unrecognizable in period makeup and costumes, in a wordy Ibsen play.

A casting choice so puzzling that Warner Brothers cancelled the national release.

EDIT:

Nearly forgot about Geneviève Bujold as Captain Janeway. Thankfully she quit after the first day.

She is emotionless... woo glad she wasn't kept.

Eva Mendes in The Spirit
Some of the most overrated actresses ever have exaggerated mouths. Roberts, Diaz, Jolie.

Eva couldn't act wet in a thunderstorm.
Gal Gadot in everything.
There's not a lot for her to get a handle on. It's just bad Greek mythology and politicking, with no action. The amazons are no fun, her villains are bland, and overall she seems more evil (in the comics) than many supervillains.

THIS.

Holland could work if it was an origin story or something like idk Uncharted 4 but I just couldn't take baby-faced manlet Holland seriously as the middle-aged Nathan Drake

I guess the kid just got tired of playing Spiderman and that one movie about the last girl on Earth that bombed horribly.

Speaking of bad castings, Vince Vaughn in the Psycho remake was horrid. I'm probably super biased here though because I adore the original Psycho.

In the same vein of my biases, I'll have to say James Corden in everything he's been in recently, although bad writing is also to blame for this. To my knowledge, he has not been in anything good.

He has the same issue as Dwayne Johnson; they play themselves before playing any role. You don't really see a character, you just see the actor behind them. However, unlike Corden, Johnson at least has charisma.

I¨ll also have to say TJ Miller in Underwater. That was bad.

It's the equivalent of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft. Just a slap in the face.

Look at this child-sized A cup! Who thought this was a good idea?! And she's making another one!
