What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

They're reaching, I'll admit. But I'm pretty sure that shit was supposed to look ugly and unerving to the average person.

No monster is made more intimidating by giving it giant kawaii anime eyes. Not that the series lacks genuinely creepy titans. Most of the titans look unsettling, these two just made me burst out laughing.

Yeah, same for me. I think it's more what the titans are actually doing than how they look that makes me queasy.

Aren't the titans in Attack on Titan practically supposed to be partially (and I do mean, partially) intelligent zombies (or better yet, cavemen)...? Then of course they ain't gonna be too worried about their looks, then. Also, of course that means they're going to be acting and doing creepy as hell stuff!

The "rubber forehead" humanoid aliens of Star Trek can get pretty disturbing sometimes.

Not necessarily the worst though.

There was some explanation of why they do that. It was budget related. It's easier to just slightly modify a human's face than it is to make some elaborate non-humanoid costume. We know there are really alien looking aliens. But the budget Jim! The budget!

Well back in the original series they could barely afford rubber masks and later had to make some Romulan made virus excuse as to why the Klingons now have forehead ridges. They, the Cardassians and the Ferengis at least try though. Just about everyone else is a notch or two in a rubber forehead prosthetic. It makes you wonder what happened during human evolution to make us forehead notch free. Betazoids don't have any either. But they do have black irises in addition to black pupils. Something I never made out as a kid due to watching on a crappy CRT.

As no-budget as the animated series was the three-armed guy that replaced Chekov was cool. In the old DC comics from between Wrath of Khan and Search For Spock there was a horta in the crew.

I never noticed that about betazoids. I guess that shows how much I paid attention to Troi.

The author said somewhere that their behavior is based on very drunk people.

There's plenty of character designs that irc me. Such as almost every design in Steven Universe (Except maybe Jasper and Malachite), anything Andrew Dobson shat out of his ass (for obvious reasons) and Overwatch (they lack similarities that make them feel like a team).
But if there was one style that I actively hate, it's this.

An episode of Voyager featured aliens that had chicken feathers in stead of hair. I think they tried to frame Tom Paris for murder or something.

The short-lived New Dalek Paradigm introduced in season five of NuWho.

I liked the idea them. Reminded me of that old pic of them going over that bridge in then-modern London.

But yeah in practice it was impossible to think of anything other than Power Rangers. Maybe Daleks enjoy their own Power Rangers show.
