So I am bit of an old school fighting game fag, which includes playing all versions of Tekken. So imagine my imense displeasure at what they did with Paul's hair in Tekken 8. What in the fuck is that and why does it look so weird?

It's even worse considering we've seen Paul with his hair down and it didn't look nearly as bad as this.

It's a shame because the outfit itself is not horrible even if he kinda reminds me a little too much of an Uncharted character and doesn't give me too many biker vibes.

It looks like he followed Negan back to the Walking Dead universe after Tekken 7.

Bit of a hot take, but I find Akira Toriyama's works to be fucking ass.

Not because they're bad, they're fine, hell, some were even good.

But because the man can only draw three characters, and one house. Dude is a fucking hack, and I don't know why people crowd around to kiss his feet.

Kind of naturally leads on to Dragon Quest, which I feel has the absolute worst designs in the biz today. At best, they're simple and generic (I.E. Dragon. Bunny girl.) At worst, their lazy and stupid as shit. (Bag with face. Mushroom, but the top is hair.)

I have to disagree. Paul might look ridiculous but that's because he's supposed to be ridiculous. He's the enthusiastic dumbass who still manages to win through skill and charisma and that goofy hairstyle fits perfectly.

Now I don't hate this. It's aesthetically pleasing but it doesn't really feel like Nina to me. It looks like something Anna would wear after she gave up cosplaying as REmake Jill Valentine.

I'm a nostalgia fag so it'll take me some time getting used to this.

On the other hand, I never got used to Hwoarang's design in Tekken 7.

Yes, his actual hair color is black and he lost his eye in Tekken 6 (if you play as him) but I cannot see him as anything else than a gay pirate here. Or like a failed Jojo character.

While i don't hate the Nina costume i still feel it's somewhat overdesigned, that Hwoarang on the other hand is fucking tragic, he looks like random Shonen protagonist #7135. That tranny biker Paul outfit still takes the cake, though. And here i thought Street Fighter 6 took the crown when it comes to shitty redesigns in fightan' games.

Toriyama is fantastic, besides classic monster designs you can easily discern his different characters even with them having similar faces.
