What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

Yes, that is supposed to be Obama
Political “cartoonist” Ted Rall has one of the ugliest art styles I have ever seen.

Fang of the Sun Dougram, semiobscure Japanese robot war cartoon. They decided to make pretty much everybody mildly ugly.
It's a reasonable enough idea, but in practice it makes everybody look like they're regular characters drawn for total shit.

Semiobscure, but I guarantee that almost anyone who has gazed longingly at a toy robot will recognize the mechanical designs used for the giant robots in that series.

It's one of the "Real Robot" genre that was kickstarted by Gundam. The story is grounded, quite intricate, and most of the combat is credible provided you're willing to accept thirty-foot robots as tanks. The very nice mechanical designs and decent storytelling has some of the most inappropriate character designs in history.

For absolutely no reason, the main characters including the giant robot pilot all dress like cavemen. Nobody else does. They spend the first part of the show dressing appropriately for what we see, and then without explanation, they're dressed like they've been castaways for decades. It is truly one of the weirdest things to come out of Japan.

I love me some American Dragon but good lordy, season 2's designs are a travesty.

Never liked this show - and I gotta be honest... I think the designs in Season 1 are worse. Then again, I never liked this show, so it doesn't matter which season looks better than the other when I can't bring myself to watch it.
