I agree, though I have too much of a soft spot for how cheesy the old show was to view it as anything but so-bad-it's-good. That and it cracks me up how Megaman looks like if Makunoichi Ippo was a gigatard with a safety helmet.

Most of the Zi-O stuff looks like sin because of the big ugly ass shoulder pads. I think it may have been intentional to keep them from overshadowing the originals or the base design. thankfully Zi-O's base look is pretty cool. Decade wasn't so lucky:

Oh yeah Decade was fucking awful. And yeah the ridewatch forms were awful but thank god for Zi-o II and Grand Zi-o. Speaking of shitty ass forms, may i present to you:

A lot of the character designs in Bravely Default bother me. Brave's arms and legs seem far too stubby looking for someone of his size.

It felt like they were trying to emulate the style of the classic FF games (Where the playable characters are always chibi-fied versions of themselves while the things they fought during were larger and had regular proportions) but for some characters they only went halfway.

It's also kinda jarring how small the main characters are compared to everyone else. Again, I get what they were going for, but it just didn't seem to translate well into 3D.

Which is kind of a shame, as I like the style of the main characters.
