What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

This is the protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei V.

I gotta say, I'm not in love with the art in the modern Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games. The characters have this lanky look that I find so off-putting. It's grasshopper-like, or something. I won't complain about the games themselves, however, as I am a fan.

As a retrofag I gotta mention that I do love the look of the classic MegaTen characters. I mean, just look at how based this is:

Now as for something I personally can't stand...... Tetsuya Nomura's character designs. I feel like I'm being trolled by this nigga, like he's purposefully awful. He has a knack for creating the most obnoxious looking characters imaginable.

Like this motherfucker. I fucking hate everything about this. The massive clown shoes, the perpetual smirk, the chains, the gaudy colors.... Absolute cringe. Nomura fucked Final Fantasy hard too, which is a shame, because Amano was so, so good.

The internet has ruined Dragons for me, I hate almost all of them now.
Imagine all those past cultures designing some of the most iconic dragon imagery only to be ruined because of a few beastial fucks. Must suck, and I just came from finishing DS3's Darkeater Midir who is a true badass dragon with intimidating design, as what dragons are meant to be.

I heard even other furries hate the dragon-fuckers. That's honestly kind of impressive.

This bitch from Shadow of Mordor, one of my favorite games.

Maybe it's for lore reasons and I'm just ignorant, but that bleach-blonde hair looks awful with her skintone. It doesn't look any better in-game. Most of the time she's in the sunlight and then it looks 10x worse.

I found it so distracting and yeah, it's superficial, but it made me dislike her character. She was kind of a blank slate to begin with so it wasn't helping matters.

GvK Mechagodzilla.

I mean, the director really hated the Bayformer designs and wanted MechaG based off the Terminator.
But the Terminator is essentially a robot skeleton, MechaGodzilla is not a robot skeleton however, so in trying to give it a full solid body with Terminator elements, it just ends up looking like another Bayformer.

I stand by my belief that Kiryu is the best design for MGoji.

It's supposed to be a mecha based on Godzilla, so make a robotic version of Big G with weapons, not whatever... that... is

I always wanted an SH Figuarts Kiryu, I don't know why but the design is just really appealing to me as someone who grew up with an older brother who loved Mobile Suit Gundam.

Yooka and Laylee.
It actually took me a while to realize the exact reason why they're not as memorable as their "spiritual predecessors" Banjo and Kazooie, and I think I finally know why. To put it simply, all four of these characters are fairly boring and safe design wise, but they gave Banjo and Kazooie identity by giving them outfits.
Banjo is a fairly generic cartoon bear with very few defining characteristics. Give him something as simple as a pair of pants, however, and it instantly becomes more recognizable. It's seriously as simple as that.
Kazooie is likewise just a cartoon bird, nothing too noteworthy about her. But the fact that she lives in a backpack, and all the silly things she does in a backpack makes what is otherwise an unremarkable design become something very unique.
If Banjo was running around naked with Kazooie on his shoulder, the duo probably wouldn't have been as fondly remembered as they are now.
This brings us to Yooka and Laylee. They are in desperate need of some clothes, or something more interesting to make them recognizable, Hell, here are two edits which in my opinion make them a whole lot more visually appealing simply by giving them clothes.

Alternatively, they could've just made them super cute, and made it their defining characteristic. These look a lot more lovable than their canon counterparts.
