What Are You Craving? - A Sister Thread to What Are You Eating/Cooking?

I'm craving Nat Sherman classic blues, haven't had those for a while now.

I jest, I want salmon sashimi.

Chocolate has theobromine in it actually, due to it being cocoa-based. It's a milder, less potent cousin of caffeine; good for lifting spirits though, as it does not kick that much.
Ah, that makes sense. I can't have stronger things with caffeine like coffee, but I can have up to 90% dark chocolate

For that, I can recommend boiling cocoa powder. Take any cocoa powder, put it in a pot, boil until hot, and voilà, you have coffee-lite, essentially. And also, all the mixing options for coffee are available here. Because theobromine is so much gentler than caffeine, you can drink litres of the stuff and barely feel anything, if anything.

I personally put honey into it, best cocoa drink I ever had.

Enjoy!

Oh, we've had that at home for a few days now, just with added cloves, cinnamon and vanilla. Tonight, an experiment with pumpkin spice! :)

Chicken wings, if there's ONE thing I can't get in Canada it's a good plate of chicken wings. But then again that's from me being used to getting wings at Buffalo Wild Wings and WingStop.

Gravlax. I have a bunch in my fridge and there's a strong yearning. At the same time I want to save it because I often lust after it and I've eaten so much already. Put it on some crisp bread so it looks like you're not just stuffing it into your mouth with your hands... nice, that's how I ate half a pound of it one afternoon. I also have some lox(cold smoked salmon) but it's a step below the elegant taste of gravlax.

Whenever I'm in Canada I always get a craving for BeaverTails (for those who don't want to give Wikipedia a click it's basically a piece of fried dough in the shape of a beaver's tail that's be served with ether sweet or savory toppings), specifically the original cinnamon-sugar variety.

And yes, I've done some research to see if there are locations in the States that sell 'em. The closest one to my home city is in San Diego, the rest are mostly in the eastern US.

I crave proper bar-b-que. Texas bbq to be exact that has been cooking for hours on end. Brisket including the burnt ends, pork ribs, and sausage. Include baked beans, proper potato salad, coleslaw and Texas toast to mop up all the wonderful bean juice and bbq sauce. Throw in some tamales oh and some shrimp boudain and fried okra and I would think I died and went to heaven.
