What are you drinking tonight? - Day drinkers stay out

Having whiskey right now. Going to drink a beer later.
Bought a bottle of soju for the first time and I think I'm going to start only drinking this shit from here on out.
I would love to try soju. Love shitty sake, so I'd probably like whatever shitty cheap soju I can get. My weeb tendencies extend to every part of East Asia.

Old fashioned but I ran outta CO2 bombies and oranges, so just whiskey on ice with bitters, a maraschino cherry and some Christmas spiced simple syrup I made. Sweet, strong, and good.

I tried substituting the orange peel with a lemon one, but it wasn't good. I hope I can get some good sleep now and fix my lackluster computer situation tomorrow (I already know it will take 5 days minimum [I wanna reinstall all my systems to be unified and not have cobwebs], but I need to stay optimistic lol).

CBC 30th anniversary Imperial pilsner. Not the best thing I've ever imbibed but if you want a beer-flavored beer that does the trick it gets you there quick.

Bourbon neat. This is unusual only in that the bourbon is in the 90-proof range and as such doesn't need ice to tame it.

Not trauma dumping I swear:
My grandfather just recently died at the ripe old age of 94! I got my self a bottle of Beefeaters extra dry gin and made a few honorary gin and tonics for my self. That shit was his all time favorite booze.
That generation had fucking class. And could show extreme moderation....Happy hour involved ONE strong mixed drink at around 5pm-ish when the men got home from working all day and before wife served dinner. She might have a small sherry too.👍

In my country, soju can cost less than a bottle of water at the convenience store. I hear in other countries they mix it with flavoring and juice. Straight soju tastes like floor cleaning chemical. Good for getting fucked up on a budget though.

No wonder why the one of the leading cause of death is liver failure

Going to try Sake for the first time. If I don't like it, I'll be switching to some Jack and Coke pre mixed cans.
What was the verdict? I have a couple of bottles that I'm saving for the next sumo basho in mid January. I like to mix it down with cold water and ice, lasts me all evening without getting blasted (and no hangover),

It's good shit, but pricey where I am, about twice the price of drinkable wine by volume. A shot of it in beer works really well (for some flavors, not so much others).

Draft Sake tasted honestly not great. Very acidic almost like drinking hand sanitizer with an oddly coconut like after taste. But the peach flavoured one I had tasted just like straight up peach juice. Strawberry Soju was incredible. Peach soju was good too.

Huh, I get something very different from sake, an unmistakable ricey, kinda wheat taste but not much else. Kinda like how a rice cooker smells the next morning if you forget to clean it, then a gentle turps-y finish.
Strawberry soju is nice neat, worst one to mix with beer alongside apple. Lemon and peach are great for that.

I'm mixing Old Putney with Giger Ale(Bundaberg) and drinking Danish Navy Gin neat. I was mixing Dominican Rum with San Pellegrino but I drank all my rum.
