"Fluppe" is German slang for cigarette, Jupp is a German variation of the name Josef. So the bands name is basically "Cigarette Josef and the lung boys". The songs are all about smoking and making fun of smoking. The guy behind the band was once a heavy smoker but quitted it.

I heard this on some vinyl DJ jazz-funk video that popped up on youtube recommends, the video is like an hour long but this is the one that was my favorite, it also happened to be the first lol. I dont hate funk or jazz though.

It reminds me a little bit of like Steely Dan, with the backing vocals like that song Kid Charlemagne. I also love the vibraphone or percussion or whatever.
